but tbf to them' date=' they have kept the rr under control, had it been any other bowling side take india for example, these runs would have been made with a rr over 4 an over, with field widespread, easy runs on offer ...anderson,swann have great economy rate considering the pitch[/quote'] i seem to remember india doing pretty well in sa, both home and away.

A reminder to you, although I'm sure you are aware, that no South Africa batsman has a triple hundred in Test cricket. AB de Villiers' unbeaten 278 against Pakistan is the best. Oh, yes, and he's coming in next. Jeepers if you r an England bowler -- cricinfo :hysterical::hysterical:

This'll make SA v Aus a #1 vs #2 series down under. I don't care if the Aussies rise to #1. They're way better to tolerate than England - an overrated bunch of pansies.

sa will win.

SA seems to be on the defensive mode now. It's all okay to declare with a lead of 150, because England will not build a lead quickly due to defensive nature of their batting. You need a lot of time to dismiss Cook, Trott and co.

No one is owning anyone. This test is a lame ass draw.
Steyn and Philly don't think so. They're going to rip the Poms to shreds. Eagerly awaiting Micheal "I averujed twunty" Vaughan and Nasser "I averujed thirty" Hussain post this innings. And has that Botham bloke started getting left out of those commentator huddles yet?

I wish the Poms lose, but given that it is day 4 with 1 session to go and less than 200 run lead, don't see SA declaring without 400+ to defend.

I am enjoying the show. We could have done this if our batsmen applied themselves.
All our bats needed to do is pass the strike to Dravid. We wouldn't have been whitewashed 4-0 then, at least. This is a very average team. Just look up Anderson's or Broad's bowling figures on statsguru - they're just not good enough, anywhere in the world. Yet last year the stupid Poms were comparing them to McGrath and Gillespie and whatnot. And Swann's average will likely hit 30+ too by the end of this series. They deserve to be a #3 team, frankly.

Oh I agree. England team is good at home but not much else. Even at home, they haven't been challenged that is why they have a good record. We didn't bat as a unit or we would have not only averted whitewash but maybe got a draw despite our crap bowling attack. VVS can't play swing. Viru didn't use his brains. Gauti in a middle of a slump. Tindu mental breakdown due to 100th 100.

I am not watching the game anymore (boring) but seeing England get dominated like this is certainly putting a smile to my face the psychological damage of this and the fallout of this game would certainly leave a mark

Why wouldn't they declare with lead of 300 and 110-120 overs left in the game. They certainly can't lose the game from that position.
