he's lacking temperament and also his shot selection is very poor. To overcome this he needs to bat alongside the veterans like sachin or dravid or laxman or ganguly but thats almost impossible and i dont see him improving himselfB->

double batting. every time he gets out, shout i wasnt ready. first ball needs to be a trial ball.

Try sending him as an opener or at 3, where he can play quite well. Gives him a bit of time to get set. Give him some of the less important games, like the 5th ODI vs SL (well, he played all 4 anyway). As for what Sharma himself can do, I would suggest the same thing as I suggest for Indian bowlers: play county, develop skills, train well and make a return to the team like Zaheer did a few years ago.
