I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Since 1998, last year december visit was my first visit to chennai in december.

But considering this is a short stay you may want to think if you want to rent a place or sign in to one of the better Serviced Apartments. And if you stay in the heart of the city there is no shortage of good eating joints. And Zomato is your friend.

Please give me some tips as i need to confirm my office by tmrw... I sm sorry to say this, its gonna be most difficult year of your life but still u can come out of it and feel as if u have climbed Everest, sad place it is ,but not bad to leave the job

Since 1998, last year december visit was my first visit to chennai in december. April-June is the worst part of the year.Dont ever plan ur visit at that time.
Trichromatic Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Weather of Chennai is very similar to that of Kolkata. If you are used to live in those conditions then adapting to Chennai won't be big issue.

I understand that its pretty bad during summers. I found that Chennai is better than any bigger North Indian city. Its cleaner and people are not rude. The traffic is bad but not Delhi-Kolkatta bad.

Delhi roads are better designed i suppose :hmmm: Road design is a major flaw in chennai. They should have fixed it long back. Now they are building bridges.

jusarrived Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Positives: Cost of living is very low . People are very genuine & helping . Roads & Traffic are good , in comparison to other Indian cities . Negatives : Language , Heat , Taxi/Rickshaws & not much to do in your free time .
