He's in good form right now.He has shown than he is good enough to bat at no.7 in test cricket & he's bowling well at this moment.He's bowling that natural outswing of his which swings in late to the right handers & leaves the lefties. Though I think he'll bowl around 125ks in test matches but if PK can play as a swing bowler for India then why not him?He adds a lot to the table.

No. PK played in England. I can even play PK in India but not Pathan. He is not that consistent enough for 125K bowler for test matches and will go for runs. PK can contain the batsmen due to his accurate bowling if he is not getting any help form the pitch. He is best suited for LOIs.

Irfan will pretty much be useless after first few overs. Zaheer can reverse and Yadav has pace, so surely they are our first choice bowlers. Irfan doesn't figure.

Not as a 4 man attack that is for sure. I dont think there is enough confidence in our keeper bat and top 5 to play him as an allroudner. And at home anyway I am not sure how effective hed be in a 5 man attack even...as rkt says not tight enough to keep batsmen quiet if the ball does not swing and seam which he needs

Instead he's stuck to what he's always done best which is to keep the seam straight at 3/4 angle which naturally comes out of his action. As long as keeps doing that he'll consistently swing the ball. I would include him in the sqaud but not sure whether he should get in the final 11.

14 tests, 27 wickets@50 in tests played in India, this when he was a better bowler. Too early for him to be coming back to test cricket. Let him continue to do well in the shorter formats.

I know it's to early to judge but it's worth a thought,I mean Indian pitches are slow as well so his variations can be handy, and he is a very handy bat,worth taking a gamble

Ishant has one of the best records in India fora fast bowler. He had real bad WI test series at home. Otherwise, he was averaging 28 before that.

Biggest weakness of NZ is raw pace irrespective of quality. From Sami to Akram all thrived against NZ due to sheer pace. They are very much used to dibbly dobbly bowlers. But raw pace. Always the weakness. So load the side with raw pace bowlers . Bombard them with pace. I know quality is not there. But NZ flunks regardless of the quality when it is pace.
