India doubled its medal tally from the last games. Looking forward to seeing greater improvements in the next games in Brazil :hail:

Indians should stop this obsession of Gold. Most of the world determines ratings based on number of medals.

dude in the medal tally, the team with more no golds is placed higher even if its total tally is lower than one winning lesser golds

Imo, India's most successful Olympic ever. Great performances but let's not stop here. We have improved gradually from 1990s and now we must continue this.

That's an archaic way of looking at it, in theory 1 gold > 10 silver + 20 bronze. We should acknowledge our athletes did better this time, no matter what the official ranking might say.

dude in the medal tally' date='the team with more no golds is placed higher even if its total tally is lower than one winning lesser golds[/quote'] That would be for medal count in same Olympic. If you are comparing our performance in last Olympic to this one and believe that this one is not better then what can we say.

Improving and winning a medal in many events is more important than getting a gold in 1.

Besides all the appreciations to our players who participated in olympics, I would really like to say Ajay Maken has done a good job. Why can not we have more ministers like him. I was hearing the interview of players and all of them were saying good thing about gov the first time and also this time the delegations had very less Babu's and Gov staff.
