vvvslaxman Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 You need an inspiring coach. Period. Players should perform outside their capacity . You have to drill the "never say die" approach into the brains of our players. We need that kind of coach who is never satiated with success. We need a coach who set goals and strive to achieve them.
maniac Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Asking the team to run 5 laps,or do 50 pushups before practice and give up that extra plate of rasmalai should be a start, the guy who has the guts to do that is an automatic selection to be the coach.
BERGKAMP Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 coach - warne captain - kohli vice captain - pujara throw gambhir sehwag tendulkar out of all the teams.

rkt.india Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 RKT - Do you subscribe to Dennis Lillee et al theory that bowlers bowl less these days which causes them injury? Of course. One needs to prepare one's body for that load. Take an example, if suddenly you and me start doing farmers job for a day, what will be our physical conditions, I think we wont be able to stand on our feet, because we do not do it, we are not used to it, but a farmer does that day in and day out in his farms because he is used. He body has molded itself for that hardwork. Same with fast bowling. It is a hardwork. If i dont bowl a lot in the nets, how would I be able to bowl in the test a lot. One is bowling 5-6 overs dialy in the nets and if one has to bowl 25-30 overs a day in a test match, he would breakdown. Body wont be able to take that sudden pessure and load. I myself have experienced that. If I dont bowl for a week and suddenly start bowling, it will hurt and it always hurts because of sudden pressure I had put on my body. The more you bowl, the more your body will mold itself for the requirement and load you put on it. It is not just about cricket, it is in general life. Think about people who do sadhna for different things, they take their body and its limitations to extremes and only then achieve it.
rkt.india Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Nothing will change until there is equal financial opportunity for upcoming players to succeed in the longer versions of domestic cricket. Why will a talented 16/17 year old from rural India slog it out trying to perfect his defense against the swinging yorker' date=' his 5-day cricketing stamina and slip-catching skills, when he can perfect his "Dilscoop," make a 1000x more cash in the IPL, and pull his family out of poverty? And I don't see anything wrong with it.[/quote'] He wil have to do that to be play for a ranji team and then only he can be picked by IPL teams.
Tiger-Don Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 ATM, no big names are needed. Just a coach who can lift the team up and is very tactical. Someone like Dav Whatmore.

Mahaa Raavana Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 No we dont need a coach for off cutters. It'd be good have a few guys who know how to bowl an off-cutter rather than the toothless, useless current lot. :--D
