jairamesh Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Seeing some decisions which would have been reversed under DRS in the current Ind v NZ series, most in favour of India, it's time BCCI start implementing DRS at least in its basic form, i.e. no hawk eye. Eventually this lack of embrace will come back to hurt us! I would like to see at least hot spot or snicko, if not available then even basic TV replays for edges would do. And how annoying are the TV replays showing ball path shown upto impact only and no hawkeye showing the full predicted trajectory of the ball?!!
Pagalpanti Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 We got the rough end of it despite having DRS in the England tour. We'll eventually have to embrace DRS but not in its current form. The very premise of DRS is to challenge the on-field umpire but then his decision is taken for close calls. Unless the application of DRS changes its better to not use it rather.
siri Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 lol really?i thought guptill was clearly not out as the ball would have gone and missed the stumps.and the same umpire turned a plumb lbw appeal from jeetan patel to chetaswar pujara .and let me remind u .in the previous odi series also it was india who has clearly beniffited from wrong decisions.how funny u guys jump out of the skin regarding umpiring decisions lol.

superstar Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 No. Umpires today fear giving decisions against us. If an umpire gives too many bad decisions against us we send them on a forced retirement. SA will soon start opposing DRS as well.

Yes, and we also collapsed from our best situation in the series after Broad got a hattrick even though he shouldn't have got that. NZ has already got 4-5 rough decisions in 3 innings. If it continues to happen then I guess we won't miss DRS in next home series.

If it helps cleaning up howlers i am all for it even if India loses it because of that. We gotta show some respect for the game before the country. Personally i think it will help Indian bowlers more than it hurts them. Unfortunately it is the batsmen who make the calls about whether DRS should be welcomed or not.

Sydney would have been forgotten if the players had behaved properly and Bhajji was not called a racist.
