Clarke Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 If India was on the receiving end of this test' date=' then it would have been labelled Sydney part 2 by now.[/quote'] Its ok, we won. Umpiring isn't a problem for the moment to get someone fired from the elite panel :king:
saneindian Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 If India was on the receiving end of this test' date=' then it would have been labelled Sydney part 2 by now.[/quote'] Really? Are you counting number of marginal LBW shouts that were ruled in the kiwis favour?
Old guy Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 If India was on the receiving end of this test' date=' then it would have been labelled Sydney part 2 by now.[/quote'] agree... drs should be there atleast for basic decision.. if they dont trust hawkeye dont use it.. but they do truust normal footage right ? it can be used to review mcculum like decision... thing is if in near future something bad does happen against us.. no one will listen to our whines :giggle: honestly after sydney i wanted drs so badly tht loss still hurts
Hell Raiser Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I haven't seen the whole match, from what seen, India got many decisions in their favour. Nz were unlucky on many occasions. UDRS should be used to make it a fair match. Even UDRS can sometimes give wrong decisions but still it removes really bad decisions that Umpires give.
ganeshran Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I watched the highlights today and the only decision that went against Kiwis in the second innings was McCullum lbw. Were there any others?
carnish Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I watched the highlights today and the only decision that went against Kiwis in the second innings was McCullum lbw. Were there any others? Yup .. yesterday Guptilll LBW .. A catch by Kohli today was not clean and wasnot referred
superstar Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 ^^ Batsman walked away. He did not want to face the spinners. Should have asked for referral. It was clean IMO.
SLICKR392 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Yup .. yesterday Guptilll LBW .. A catch by Kohli today was not clean and wasnot referred That catch was pretty clean. They showed it on the replay. His hands were right under the ball.
carnish Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 ^^ Batsman walked away. He did not want to face the spinners. Should have asked for referral. It was clean IMO. Maybe it was clean .. I certainly felt so .. but some commies felt differently ... I was just pointing out.. Batsman took the fielders word and proved again why in modern day its not such a good thing
SLICKR392 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Maybe it was clean .. I certainly felt so .. but some commies felt differently ... I was just pointing out.. Batsman took the fielders word and proved again why in modern day its not such a good thing I remember the commentator saying that the Batsmen din't even bother to ask for a referral. And when he watched the reply it was clean. I think it was Manjrekar.

Trichromatic Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 1-mccullum lbw 2-guptill lbw 3-taylor catch was never clean. 4-chetaswar pujara was plumb off jeetan patel Pujara edged one in 1st inning and ball was going outside off in case of Flynn's dismissal in first inning.

CoverDrive Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I am totally for DRS. this bullshit stand taken by BCCI and now it just wants to stick to it just to make a point. DRS is not perfect but it is better than nothing especially with the quality of umpiring these days. everyone has bought into it and i see no point in continuing to oppose it. Sydney 08 was one of the reasons to bring in technology into use and now we are the ones complaining.
asterix Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I'll answer on siri's behalf..... both the beggar boards had no funds to afford DRS :giggle::giggle: Thanks. :giggle: Why do they complain about BCCI not using DRS? Can their own Boards afford DRS technology? Are they expecting BCCI to fund for these beggar Board's DRS too?
Trichromatic Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 India once again got lucky with some crucial runs Patel and Boult were scoring. :giggle:
jairamesh Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 At some point this is going come back to bite us. That was a poor decision by Gould to give Patel out, looked so not out even live on TV.
Trichromatic Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 At some point this is going come back to bite us. That was a poor decision by Gould to give Patel out, looked so not out even live on TV. Out of 8-9 dubious decisions, only 1 has gone against us in this series. As long as difference is that high, it won't hurt us much.
adi B Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 i am pretty sure we will see many howlers in the series vs eng, most going in pom`s favor as it has bcome a trend where even 3rd umpire favors them.. most probably it may bite us,then most icfers will have different reactions
panther Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 only takes 1-2 bad decision to change a game.
