He is a wicket keeper batsman and the best we have at the moment. I dont think we have any other player who can lead the team in test matches so its best we stick with him. In the formats where he has more control and freedom, he has done reasonably well. We have bowlers who declared themselves fit and couldnt bowl more than 3 overs on the first day, we have opening batsmen who played IPL with an injured shoulder and then declared themselves fit when they couldnt even hold the bat. We have aging batting lineup where no one was ready to make way for younger player. We have selectors who have no spine and cant drop anybody. We have no fit fast bowler (maybe yadav now) and the less said about spinner the better it is. So can you blame MSD really, IMO he should have put his foot down after 4-0 in Eng and made these changes. We would have still lost in Aus but at least these kids would have gained some experience. MSD is also at fault for his poor captaincy at times but when you no quality bowlers then you have no other option but to play defensive cricket.
i am too sleepy to write countless mistakes made by dhoni.one thing it does not matter if you win he takes the credit and if we lose team is old and bowlers are fat and bad.

Its the media which says he won the game, IMO GG won the WC final but MSD got the credit for his batting.

I've heard that Dhoni wasn't even called for Arjun Tendulkar's 10th birthday party. He simply wasn't invited. It is rumoured that while the rest of the team were spraying confetti on each other and singing birthday praises to Arjun, Dhoni was reading Amar Chitra Katha and sulking at home in Ranchi.

C'mon whats the big deal. The players in a team are like colleauges in office. They work togther for achieving a common goal. Doesn't mean that privately all of them have to be friends. Laxman is free to chose whom he invites to a very private party at his house.

lol...funny it is...some ppl here admit its media who is trying to make a fool out of ppl...and simultaneously we see fools here who actually get influenced by these articles and start cooking up stories...

This is lame logic and can be/could have been used as an argument to continue with aging middle order as well. Trust me any other Captain wouldn't have lost worse than 0-8. What is a point in continuing a captain who has been exposed completely and doesn't show any willingness to win outside sub-continent. Time to move on from Dhoni in test cricket both as Captain and WK-Batsman. Bring somebody new who can perform outside India. In India we have been winning for years and would continue to do so, with or without Dhoni. Dhoni shouldn't be given a chance to improve his win-loss ratio by allowing him to captain in India for upcoming series's. Take this opportunity to try some new captain in relatively easier conditions. We don't want to have a rookie captain when travel to SA next year.

[/Dhoni Fanboy] [sane Voice] When playing, outside India, we can't even expect a double digit score from Dhoni at crucial situations.
