Debutant
I think Sehwag should follow Laxman and Dravid into retirement. +10 :two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
Sidhoni
Actually' date=' it will be fun when Dhoni retires. We won't have a keeper who bats well even in the SC conditions then. :giggle:[/quote'] This. And non-performers like Gauti will be leading the side! Link to comment
GautiMaan
Strauss resigned as captain-they have a natural successor in Cook,if Dhoni resigns who do we have? and people really think Saha/Parthiv will be able to do a better job as a wk:giggle: Link to comment
Crookbond
Last time when Parthiv Patel and Dinesh Kaarthick played instead of Dhoni in a Test match series (in SC conditions) none of them did anything of note both behind the stumps and with the bat. Link to comment

carnish
We should try Uday Kaul, Naman Ojha at A tours and other such overseas tournaments .. any other talents should also be pushed to give Dhoni some headaches Link to comment

vvvslaxman
We cannot directly draw parallel to situation of other countries. Look at SL.. First Mahela resigns, Sanga resigns then Dilshan resigns.. with no alternative again Mahela leads.. we don't want such a scenario. Link to comment
Trichromatic
After 7-0 any captain should have resigned. But if failures are counted then Sehwag, Gambhir, Laxman, Ishant, Harbhajan (he is only one who hasn't) should also be never selected in 15. This was easily worst batting line-up in the test cricket with both openers averaging 30s, middle order batsmen in mid thirties, main spinner averaging 40, main pacer getting injured after every second match and second best pacer not able to pick wickets in any conditions to get outbowled by part timers in last 2-3 years. kubrickian
This is a dumb thread. Why is Dhoni's resignation even brought up now ? Just because captain of another side retired. Ridiculous crap. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Yes he should have and he is shameless for not resigning. And BCCI shameless in to sacking him. 8-0 and still in the job. Shocking Link to comment

His glovework is sloppy and his batting fails constantly, particulary overseas. His position would really be under the microscope. Kohli, Gambhir all could be skipper. at least they would care and be bothered. Rather then going through the motions Dhoni Link to comment
carnish
In short we played like zimbabwe where everyone fails Stop Zimbabwe bashing please .. atleast they have guys with some spine ... putrevus
I don't think Dhoni should resign or quit, He had one difficult season and it had to do more with his batsmen failing him big time. Link to comment
Raghav_12
Dhoni, Srinivasan and Srikanth made a trinity which ruled Indian cricket for sometime and presided over biggest ever humiliation of indian crciket team. But none of them are ready to take accountability and do honourable thing of resigning. Now Srikanth gone, I hope this trinity will lose grip and Dhoni will follow soon. However, with some cheap wins against NZ in home test, Dhoni would start claiming that he is back toi his winning ways and may make a case for continuing as captain. He would eventually be thrown out at the end of SA tour which India would lose by 0-3 or 0-4 (depending on the number of tests in tour). Link to comment
