Ponka Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 It has happened 3 times if Ponka can recall correctly... Aus - Ind -SL Tri Series Asia Cup and now this World T20.... At least with Sachin it was a particular game and it was centuries related, but with Kohli its the impressive performance and the tournament outcome! Discuss guys?
Magneto Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Kohli didn't make many runs in this tournament :giggle:
Ponka Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Kohli didn't make many runs in this tournament :giggle: whoa ..are you serious? Kohli 4th highest run scorer overall in the tournament.
Magneto Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 whoa ..are you serious? Kohli 4th highest run scorer overall in the tournament. :cantstop: Yes, I am serious Runs against Afghans or runs in the useless England match weren't critical. He got one good score in the critical stage in three games and that's what matters. Kohli had an average tournament, not a great one.
Ponka Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Ponka is BACK :aha: :aha: Thanks :hatsoff:
Cricketics Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Since Ponka made debut and started opening his thread, India haven't won shyt. Lost in England 0-4. Lost in Australia. Couldn't make Asia cup finals. Chennai won IPL. Knocked out here in t20. Please change your username buddy.
BERGKAMP Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 most of the losers that currently play for india are not even fit to lace kohlis boots. a once in a generation talent with a burning desire to win.
Ultimate_Game Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Not Kohli's fault that he's the only one to show up :dontknow:
vvvslaxman Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Kohli is in rich vein of form. So he is going to click more often than not fail. Sadly his form coincides with out of form from half a dozen players. So it might give an impression that whenever he scores India go out of tournament. His 183, 133*, 78 those were all great innings. He helped India demolish the opposition. Some People keep drawing parallel with Sachin. But they are missing a point. The theory was "whenever Tendulkar scores a 100 India loses". In Kohli's case India rarely loses when Kohli clicks. But somehow they end up depending on some other team and other team screws up royally. In this match everything was in our hands. So no excuse.
vijay50 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 How about whenever ponka opens a thread, India does poorly.
Tridibans_16 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 How about whenever ponka opens a thread' date=' India does poorly.[/quote'] But he came back after the match

So only his innings stand out. And he is too good a player to fail as consistently as Dhoni/Sehwag/Gambhir etc.
rkt.india Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 India's best T20 player is Raina and he rarely got any chance to bat.
vvvslaxman Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 India's best T20 player is Raina and he rarely got any chance to bat. He is a bit out of touch too. Except in the last 2 matches he was not timing the spinners well.
Tridibans_16 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 He is a bit out of touch too. Except in the last 2 matches he was not timing the spinners well. But compared to our tailents, he is way better form. Even yuvi isn't in form (someone said in some other thread he looked fluent in his 21 today, actually no he didn't).
