Asim Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today....
coffee_rules Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 The look on his face after he got bowled was priceless. DIdn't spot the carrom ball, swung hard and missed..broke the stumps.
Crookbond Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... If he continues, he will soon have to borrow equipment from his team mates considering the rate at which he gets out first ball.
Lord Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... werent much use anyway:giggle:
SLICKR392 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... :cantstop: Doesn't make much difference.
mastana Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... I think it was Hafeez's bat and Umar Akmal's helmet. :hehe:
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... pitch pe apni ***** todwata hai, dressing room mein bat... mashallah vaat a player B->
Ultimate_Game Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Afridi broke his bat and helmet in the dressing room after getting out today.... That's my hero :icflove: I hope Paki selectors see what the match meant for him and keep him in the team till 2015 WC at least. I want india to face Pakis with "The Beast" in the team :--D
mr cricket Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 He is still a good bowler but shouldn't be batting anywhere near top 7.
Ram Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Now you know why the Pakistanis fake their date of birth and understate their players' ages. They are referring to their mental ages. :giggle: On the topic itself, has there been a more celebrated 'batsman' (I use that term carefully), who has been more mediocre than Afridi, in the history all cricket? The sheer number of matches, some tremendously important ones at that, that this retard has cost his team with his brainless batting is mind-boggling. And to think he has been international cricket for since 1996! Its not just the fact that he repeatedly gets out cheaply when his team needs someone to put their hands up the most, its the manner in which he gets out - Wild, pointless swings that make him look like someone blindfolded him. I'd like to call this the anti-Gayle effect. When Chris Gayle is batting and clobbers a 90 mph yorker over long-off for a 110 m six, its not just the runs he score - many batsmen can hit sixes - its the effect that it has on the opposition team's morale that is incredibly precious. Afridi does the same, except to his own effin team. Can you imagine a MS Dhoni, walking in at India being 100-3 in 20 overs, chasing 270 in the WC final against Lanka and blindly slogging across the line to be bowled first ball and the catastrophic effect it would have had on the morale in the Indian dressing room?
Executioner Posted October 5, 2012 Author Posted October 5, 2012 while we all know the first cricket shot a youngster is taught is the drive....afridi on the other hand was taught that sloggin is basic cricket
Debutant Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Still he is the biggest match winner of all time :giggle:
Asim Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Aqib Javed has a good point: Every player including all rounders should have a place in your team either as one among top 6 (sometime 7) batsmen or top 4 (someitme 5) bowlers... & Afridi right now dont fall in any of those...
Cricket_Guru Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 leave lala alone. you people have forgotten his godlen years. esp against India team of 2000-2007. thats with the bat. after it he imporved dramatically with bowl and now recently struggling.
Asim Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 @Cricket_Guru: Does Afridi deserve a place in Pak ODI/T20 team RIGHT NOW?
Cricket_Guru Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 No. but he should be in form by the time our next series arrives in December. :) also he should play test cricket. we need good allrounder.
Trichromatic Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 No. but he should be in form by the time our next series arrives in December. :) also he should play test cricket. we need good allrounder. :omg:
kubrickian Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I have seen Afretard play irresponsibly like this a million times and subsequently contribute to losing games but Pakistanis are somehow so much in love (abnormally so) with him, that he gets let off time and again. But gotta say, good for other teams .:--D

Yeah, keep licking the stick long after the ice cream has melted.
