Each time I look at this guy I think he should not be playing professional sports apart from maybe darts. I know a lot of cricketers aren't the fittest, guys like Inzamam, Warne, Robert Key, half of the India team but this guy is on another level. The only one's I can think off that were as bad as him are Ranatunga and David Boon. You would think he could have some discipline and sort out his diet and exercise more. His fitness has cost him plenty of opportunities for England.

Irrelevant. This player here averaged 43 in Test cricket with 7000+ runs with that physique. He also was the Man of the Match for his team which won the World Cup. 10268271.jpg
Yeah he played in the days where lots of cricketers were fat and the game wasn't athletic as it is now. I'm sure he was crap in the field.

No way he is worse than Inzi. Not now anyway. Reading around sounds like he's done a fair bit of work and fitness level is not bad. I guess love for tandoori chicken can never die, wonder if he is being treated in India B->

If inzi was 10kg lighter he would have averaged 10 more. so test average of 60 and odi average of 50. however unlike some he did not take the game seriously and was more concerned with what was for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What? You've got to be kidding me. He was one of the best fielders in the game at short leg. Just because you are fat it does not make you less agile. Some of Boon's catches at short leg (fast reflex ones) will make modern day catching look like amateurs.

Wrong. There was a time when inzi did lose a lot of weight. His game went to pots and could not score runs. Then he put the weight back on and the runs started flowing again. I think weight loss effected his balance or something:hysterical:

For 2003 world cup he shed lot of weight. He was lean and mean. Scored grand total of 19 runs in the world cup :cantstop:
