Umesh Yadav doubtful for 2nd Test, Ashok Dinda called up as cover

Irfan should be in the test squad along with Pankaj Singh as they are both miles ahead of Dinda.Irfan bowls at 135 k now, he can seam and swing also reverse the red ball, he should be in the squad and ready to take over from Zak who seems like his best days are over.

Isn't that what you guys do aswell? Give the 18th-19th over to a seamer and the first 17-18 to the spinners.

misbah ke pakistan, I am ok with 1 spinner we should always go with 3 seamers especially in sc against sc sides, but against non sc we can go with 2. in test 2 spinners max if the pitch is turning, even than you need a fast bowler to bend his back and pick some wickets.

I don't think Misbah or Hafeez would pick seamers over spinners especially when they have been so successful lately. :idunno:

ishant or dinda are both equally good or Bad..actually on indian wickets like ahmedabad pacers will only fail ...zak and umesh streteched hard to get few wickets...i was surprised to see umesh touch 147...that gave be the beleif that this guy is here to stay

I'm damn sure that if Umesh is not fit then Dhoni will replace him with Bhajji. 3 spinners will play & it's not a bad thing,specially against Poms.

Actually, the fact that he reversed the ball at decent pace AND picked up wickets is what gives the belief that he is a good bowler. Not a statistic of the fastest ball in the Test match.

NO dear ishant or dinda are better bets than BHajji as i have seen pacers doing well in wankhade .............i have personally seen 3 ODI's and a couple of test matches on wakhade and RP and ZAk have bowled some of their best balls here i remember some fast bowling that RP ZAk did and even Brett LEE .................I feel Ishant will PLAY. Over all BHajji does nt seem to be that impressive as a spinner now- ojha and ashwin are far better brett lee was Super fast and even our RP was getting good bounce and pace, ZAk was actually unplayable in a ODI here..........So i will not be surprised if Pacers really do well here with the new Ball at least.
