dhoni was clearly not pleased with harbhajan being in the team. he gave him just 20 overs and gave the rookies 40 overs each. why would he select harbhajan again ??
I feel INDIA is wining the third test for Sure............ Pujara , Virat Kohli, Gambhir and even UVRAJ are BiG players on INDIAN Pitches ..sachin is out of form so i dont expect much from him and Sehwag is a GAMBLE so i am not writing about him but i see Pujara , Kohli Gambhjir and UV to suceed some how......... Actually there are 51 % chances that Kohli and Pujara will hit centuries as they are just too Good for swann and the english sardar on indian kolkata eden garden pitch. i will be surprised if they dont hit centuries. if Dinda gets to Play He will be a SUCCESS as He has great experience on this ground and he wud be excited to play at his homeground....Ishant may also push himself to suceed hard so unless he is really unlucky he shud also get a couple of wickets. though i see OJHA and ASHWIN and SWANN to be the main bowlers who wud take wicekts as fastish spinners do not suceed everywhere......panesar is a kumble type fastish spinner.

Dhoni saved bhajji figures against cook and k.p and other main batsman and when the tail was exposed he brought him on to give him some cheap wikcets and his figures looked 2-74.You do know which company manages Bhajji :giggle:

Kolkatta wicket does help spinners, but the spin is slow and the bounce is low. So I dont see India crashing like they did at Mumbai. Having said that the selectors have been totally pathetic. I hope Tendulkar does not reach double figures in any of the innings..at least then he may retire before the Aussie series. If he gets even one good score he and his sponsors will continue to 'enjoy cricket'.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9BJ8hX7JBM]Alistair Cook, Aleem Dar and Harbhajan Singh, 2nd test Mumbai 2012 - YouTube[/ame] :giggle::giggle: He was unlucky. Minus the extra runs Cook got, figures would have been 3/60 and then everyone would have been praising him. Only bowled a bit, but bowled better than Ashwin. Umad? Bhaji should have bowled more, Ashwin lost the match with his terrible figures. And he talks about bounce etc as well. Pitch was perfect for him too, turn and bounce.

We need Rohit Sharma in 15, he needs to experience Indian dressing room. Dinda will not feature in playing XI, then why waste precious sofa seat for a guy who won't play for India for next 15 years. Rohit will greatly benefit from interacting with likes of Sachin, Zaheer and Harbhajan.

The new selectors seem to be no different from the old ones. Same old are picked and given endless chances while those that perform well at domestic level are not even given a sniff. After such a heavy defeat you would expect some changes but this head in the sand approach is taking the team nowhere - the same happened in the 0-4 in Aus.

This was totally and absolutely expected. What in the world can indian cricket fans do in order to get the board to be accountable to the people that form the lifeline of this sport in India?? I'm at a loss as to how blatantly the board carries on with its ruthless toothless selection without any future prep in consideration. Even though we might win or draw the next test, the team needs a serious review and perhaps that's the reason behind picking the side for only the 3rd test or maybe they'll just add umesh to the party for the last game.

When our own new selectors of chairman says he is not looking thinking about future then how would prep for future will happen?

You all are dumb****s when it comes to criticising Bhajji. He was unlucky in the last match, and he's a momentum bowler. Once he gets a few and his confidence gets up, he rips through attacks. I sometimes get the impression on this forum that most people here started watching cricket in 08 or something. So narrow minded and judgemental in their criticism.

I am done with Sachin,he is ruining his good standing with most of his fans and not helping the young batsmen at all. This would have been a ideal series to give guys like Rahane a go but he is stuck with us like a wet flea.

Yup Bhajji was "unlucky", Tendulkar is just a "bit out of form and will come good". Are you Rajiv Shukla by any chance?

Well, the rot in the setup is deep. Ideally, the selectors should have told Dhoni to take a hike and play with the team given to him. However, Dhoni is able to have such a say because of his mai baaps and annas of Chennai. When Amarnath tried to bring about some changes by getting rid of Harbhajan and reportedly planning to put Dhoni on notice, he was thrown out. There is no accountability, clarification of roles, and long term planning. All you need to do is be a part of the old boys club.
