indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Well from what I've read the general consensus seems to be that a hell of alot of players from the Indian team need to be removed. The names being branded about are: Yuvraj, Tendulkar, Dhoni, Gambhir, Ashwin. Harbhajan and Zaheer have already been dropped. Assuming that this happens, this is what the test team will look like for the final test. Sehwag Rahane Pujara Tiwary/Mukund(?) Kohli Raina/Jadeja (?) Karthik/Saha (?) Dinda Chawla Ishant Ojha Plus Ishant and Kohli are horribly out of form. Hate to say this but that team will get even more beat than the current team is being beat. I think India should just stick to their final team and hope that the seniors, barring Tendulkar who is too old, get their grip together and start performing againn. EDIT - my mistake, I was under the impression Awala was a batsman.
Magneto Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I can bet that if half the team would have been removed, they'd do better than losing by 10 wickets.
indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Depends on the pitch conditions. If the Indian seniors can't cope with Anderson/Finn reverse and spin from Monty/Swann, I have my doubts that the rookie batsman can do so.

Mukund and Tiwary had beat the SHYT out of your three pacers and Swann in the tour match in somewhat similar conditions. Also there is no Awala. There is an 'Awana' and a 'Chawla' (often called 'Chaiwala' lovingly). You combined both the names and created a hybrid called 'Awala'.

indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 Mukund and Tiwary had beat the SHYT out of your three pacers and Swann in the tour match in somewhat similar conditions. Yuvraj Singh took a 5-fer in tour match... Didn't really help did it.
Magneto Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Yuvraj Singh took a 5-fer in tour match... Didn't really help did it. Yuvraj has been underbowled here, that's why he didn't get the 5er. Dhoni is such a pathetic captain you see.
indiaregulator Posted December 9, 2012 Author Posted December 9, 2012 I'm sure if the UV bowled then the results would have reversed at the Wankhede and at Eden Gardens ;)
Magneto Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 I'm sure if the UV bowled then the results would have reversed at the Wankhede and at Eden Gardens ;) Not really. England would have still won by 5 and 2 wickets.
maniac Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 EDIT - my mistake, I was under the impression Awala was a batsman. If your talking about Chawla...Not your fault
wanted_desi Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Rahane for Tendulkar and i will be happy.
TestPlayer Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Manoj Tiwary was made to sit on the bench throughout the Australian tour. He wasn't given a single opportunity and now he isn't even in the 15 man squad, forget about playing XI. What has he done? Now, Jadeja will get a chance ahead of him. Shame on BCCI and the selectors. I would be mighty happy if he came in at no. 4 in place of Tendulkar, though I know it is next to impossible.
rkt.india Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Plus Ishant and Kohli are horribly out of form. . Kohli is not out of form. He looks good every time he bats, play sosme good shots and then a rash shot alogn the way.

These Englishmen think they won the World Cup ouch... this is a shitbad Indian team and even West Indies would have defeated us, let alone Aussies, Saffers! A new look team would have done 100 times better than these stupid seniors who seem to have forgotten the words 'grind', 'stay at the crease' and 'fight'

You lot didn't even play spinners against us in tour matches.
Magneto Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Tour matches don't mean anything. You lot didn't even play spinners against us in tour matches. If they don't, then why did English fans and ex-cricketers run from pillar to post saying 'They aren't playing spinners, they aren't playing spinners. :whine:'
special K Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 If they don't' date=' then why did English fans and ex-cricketers run from pillar to post saying 'They aren't playing spinners, they aren't playing spinners. :whine:'[/quote'] Because it was poor form not playing spinners. If we're so terrible at playing spin you shouldn't need to be doing this. When we played Pakistan they didn't use such underhand tactics. It backfired anyway because your spinners are useless.
The Outsider Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Not sure about the team, but india_regulator has been regulated for a couple of weeks from ICF for slandering families of cricketers, so hold your horses before you expect him to reply.
