What do you make out of Ishant Sharma in recently concluded series?

Two good things emerged here: 1.) His seam position was upright. 2.) He bowled fuller lengths. If he bowls like this in overseas Tests, will he be successful? Does he still have it in him to make it big?

like always inability to pick wickets did had better control but lost it when dhoni came up ;p he just wanted him to ball ful, in swingers i dont think he did even once in tht spell lost line or too short had he bowled fuller he would hqve returned with anderson like figures anyway still improvement, when u can play bhajji for no reason this does not looks tht bad

Average. May take the odd wicket here and there but will never be a strike bowler who is able to run through teams. However will always be around the team as the talent pool for quick bowlers is so shallow.

He's still the best seamer we have at the moment. He just needs to develop a good outswinger now to capitalise on his angle. We have to persevere with him now. I think Yadav, Ishant and a really good swing bowler (preferably left-arm) need to lead India's pace attack for the future.

He shouldn't be in the test squad for the Australia series unless he picks up wickets at the domestic level. IMHO he's unlucky because he lacks a cricketing brain. On a track which afforded reverse swing and rewarded full length bowling, he kept bowling good length and short. He did not learn from the way Anderson bowled. A bowler like Yadav would've bowled better and picked up more wickets at Nagpur.
