Make him bat at no.3 pls as someone mentioned on match thread. Might be his incorrect batting position is the reason for his indifferent performance in test cricket? I don't see any reason why a batsman of his calibre would not be successful in test cricket.

His was in peak form when AVKC was in peak form Real talk: Maybe teams have started planning better against him in tests.....bowling strictly outside off stump line....

I know Pujara is class and he might retain his good form even in no 4. I am not saying promote him to no.3 immediately but if Rat continues to fail no harm in trying.

For me a batsman of Virat Kohli's class should be avging around 55 in test cricket by now. If it is not its up to team management, coach and skipper to identify the real issue. Batting position, external factors or whatever it needs to be sorted. Too damn good a player to avg anywhere he is now.

so if he continues to fail promote him at number 3 where other guy is already doing good job ? what logic is this ? he has never batted at 3 in his career and did well enough and if naything pujara being there and facing new ball helps kohli to come and score quickly against older ball and today he jsut got out since he is bit out of form ..it happens but lets not use padosi logic specially in tests:winky:

His game is more suited to LOIs.....even in ODIs.....he runs a lot of his runs......keeps the run tickr on......his batting is innately explosive and restless.......tests require a much different mentality.....patience and concentration are paramount.....this will come with age.....rat should start doing yoga....

again ...he does not average 55 because he does not scores big hundreds which is another reason he is not suited for number 3 in test matches after hundred you cannot just accelerate you need to keep playing in way you have through out your inning but kohli becomes super aggressive and throws it away and that is the difference between average of 45-48 and 53-55
