Karan114 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Ishant is due for a good spell. He does often have a match winning/changing spell once in a while. Just hope its in Mohali In the six years since his Test debut, Ishant has taken a five wicket haul once against a top 6 side. Even including the weaker teams, he has three five wicket hauls in a nearly 50 Test long career. So, yeah, a match winning/changing spell every 2 years. In most countries a player this awful would have been kicked out a long time ago but in India, rubbish like him is feted as our lead pace bowler.
saneindian Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 BCCI, by now, would have stopped the water supplies to Mohali stadium.5 more days to go, enough to have a totally parched wicket for the test.
Chalks Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I hope India doesn't get complacent. One bad session is enough to lose a test. :agree: Regardless of whether they are a good team or not, Aussies can never be counted out. Least of all by a team with such a pathetic record in last two years.
adi B Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 What a lout! Where were these analysis and loud mouths when we played them at their turf !? exactly, though i wont mind if india plays them in nzl
G_B_ Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Warne's playing 11 for the third test v India Thanks for the comments guys, what should Australia's team be for the 3rd test be ? Mine would be.... 1 Warner 2 Watson 3 Maxwell 4 Clarke 5 Khwaja 6 Wade 7 Henriques 8 Smith 9 Johnson 10 Pattinson 11 Lyon What do you think guys ? This wouldn't be my best Australia team but the one I would pick from the players available for the 3rd test from the squad.... https://www.facebook.com/officialshanewarne?ref=hl Warnes Ashes Squad This is what I believe is the best Australian team & the one I would pick for the Ashes + 5 players to make up the 17 man squad... Top order needs to be strong with the batting and perform against the new ball as England's bowlers are superb with the new ball... Also, Aust need to strengthen the bowling as you need to take 20 wickets to win a test match.... 1 Watson 2 Warner 3 Marsh S 4 Clarke 5 Wade 6 Henriques 7 Faulkner 8 Maxwell 9 Coulter-Nile 10 Pattinson 11 Lyon / Siddle Depending on Conditions.... Ferguson & Khwaja as the spare batsmen... Bird & Starc as the 2 spare fast bowlers Hauritz as the spare spinner... Would like a left arm spinner but I think the 2 standouts are 12 months away - Rose & Agar, although to me Holland when available will be pushing quickly for the number 1 spin spot from Lyon....
Vilander Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 aussies are such pathetic loosers. just compete and suck it up when you get beaten, i mean we were better when we got our arses handed to us in eng,aus and then at home.
1983-2011 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Pakistan would be a neutral venue, both teams are unfamiliar with the condition
akshayxyz Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 So this neutral venue is going to be a bouncy track or spin?
Needforspeed Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Neutral venues? How about Dubai, Dacca or Galle.
Crookbond Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 The question asked to Dean Jones was "Who is the better team between India and Australia?" and his answer was "Both are good in their respective home conditions but to judge the better team play in a neutral venue".
Robelinda Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Dean Jones, you guys have no idea how hated he is here in Oz, absolute muppet this guy. World would be better if he never has his stupid opinions heard ever again.
Trichromatic Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 The question asked to Dean Jones was "Who is the better team between India and Australia?" and his answer was "Both are good in their respective home conditions but to judge the better team play in a neutral venue". :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: So he gave a good balanced reply and news channels convert that into some sort of challenge.
Crookbond Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: So he gave a good balanced reply and news channels convert that into some sort of challenge. Actually, even the article mentions the same. Every team is strong and favourite in its own backyard, therefore, to judge which team is better between India and Australia, the two teams should play on neutral venue, former cricketer Dean Jones has suggested. [A] The headline is misleading The OP's these days think that quoting text is out of fashion leading to less reads on the article
G_B_ Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Matthew Wade unlikely to play third Test due to ankle injury http://www.deccanchronicle.com/130310/sports-cricket/article/matthew-wade-unlikely-play-third-test-due-ankle-injury
carnish Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Bad Luck for India. Haddin will be a better player than Wade was against turn plus he is more attacking and hence will put pressure on Bhajji and co. and then Dhoni bhaiyya will push the field back. Gayeee Mohali panii Me
