So, anything other than that, is the best of worst choices. Amour was brilliant too. I have seen better from Haneke

Chastain was terrific although I'll catch up with Playbook soon.
Sooda Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Seen most but not all of the big oscar contenders. Definitely agree that Chastain deserved an oscar more so than Lawrence. And Life of Pi, Lincoln and even Zero Dark Thrity were all probably better than Argo- Argo was a good film though... can not argue with DDL winning best actor... he was awesome, deserves it for the commitment and dedication
Lurker Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 One of the better Oscars for a change. Seth Mcfarlene was a great host I thought. The winners were more mainstream and not so weird retared Kings Speech (or Lincoln) that most people never saw or will see. Affleck continues to grow in stature, and loved his comment about his wife and Tehran quick thinking on his feet. Also nice to see Zero Dark Thirty winning nothing, what a hype movie!!! Or Les Miserable for that matter. Only bummer was the musical theme.

Wikipedia and all other websites are pulling up the wrong info from the Oscars website. Terrible mistake and there is no way to contact them or inform them about the same. http://www.goldenglobes.org/2012/12/nominations-2013/ Did not watch the full Oscars that day and realized that Les Miserables also did quite well in the important categories. Good to know.
