Of course, FC records do matter but you dont really know how good a batsmen or bowler really is unless they play top level cricket. Jaddu has three triple tons in FC, would you send him as an opener or top order batsmen in tests ?

Jaddu didnt get these tons in top order AFAIK.:P not saying they should only be considered,but u cant ignore them.lot of players look great but are poor.it is a stepping stone.then comes A tours etc.

No one can pull like him He may be but that does not mean he is very good with short pitched bowling., he pulls mostly from front foot like Yuvraj, it works on Indian pitches but it wont work on faster tracks. Yuvraj in spite of playing those lot of those pull shots is never rated as great against short pitch bowling. The way rohit plays his pull shot rarely works against quicker bowlers on faster wickets. Didn't he open in t20 world cup in England and flop miserably, getting out mostly due pull shot the from front foot.

I have a feeling Rohit will be the man for India in Australia like Laxman and Pujara will be the one in England like Dravid (Well, I may be too optimistic, but what a thought!!:(()

Finn troubled him in England in the one dayers, and again in India. The last innings dismissal was just awful, like a clueless tailender getting cleaned up. 2 fifties in 16 one-dayers is just not good enough. Not saying Rohit is a great choice, but Rahane is overhyped IMHO, and performances do not back him up.
