Does Harbhajan deserve to be back in the squad?

If Ojha had played instead of Bhajji, we would have been batting by the end of day1. Right we have a dry as a desert pitch with only one spinner. Selection :fail:
Ditto, my thoughts too.

Harbhajan definitely has the ability and is now back in form. After Ashwin is dropped Im sure Bhaji can lead India's spin attack and take India to victory. Im sure his Rhiti Sports influence should stop youngsters who would most likely fail from getting in the team before him, so that shouldn't be a problem. Great news for India that Bhaji is back in form, hasn't failed in a Ind-Aus home series yet, he's the star every time. :two_thumbs_up:

There is still 2nd innings. If he gets one wicket, he will be a completely different bowler. But for next match, Ojha should come back in his place. He is simply a much better bowler, left arm offie or not. By the way, I dont understand Dhoni's logic of right arm offies being more effective to left hand batsmen by taking the ball away. Left armers could still bring the ball back in, making a good case for lbw and bowled especially because of the rough. :hmmm: See how Jadeja got Starc bowled by a ball which turned from the rough.

:omg: Are you Ravi Shastri?

No. Bhajji is a tricky customer. When he flashes' date=' he flashes hard. You are just jealous about him, about IPL and Indian cricket. :secret:[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: I was watching highlights and heard same line from Ravi few mins ago

Bhajji should learn from Ashwin. He should toss and flight the ball and draw the batsman forward. At this moment, batsmen are comfortable playing him on back foot and cutting him for 4s. Ashwin reminded me of swann today.

He should have got the wicket of Warner. That was plumb LBW. Apart from that, overall he was disappointing with his plan, line, length and setting wrong fields. How are you going to take wickets if there are not enought catchers around the bat. The main mode of dismissa for a spinner should be nick to the slips, bolwed, LBW or catches to silly point or batpad. Like the poster above mentioned, as a spinner you need to draw the batsman forward to induce an edge. And mix it up to trap the batsman on the backfoot to get LBWs. There wasn't much pressure built either and the ball was coming onto the bat most of the time and very easy for the batsman to negogiate. When all else fails, go to basics. Just bowl it full outside off. Natural variation will do the rest. Seriously, no coaching staff, commentator can tell him this??? Obviuosly, he doesn't know what he's doing.

Among 5 bowlers Bhajji was the worst. The trajectory of Harbhajan is never going to deceive any batsman in the air or off the pitch. It was horrible. jaddu did exactly the same except towards the end where he started giving more air. FOr heavensake it is a test match. if Bhajji doesn't give enough air while slowing down the pace in Tests where else he can do.

Bhajji was trying to take clues from Panesar, but Panesar gives big rip to the ball and is more accurate, does not bowl short and wide and long hops even if he bowls quicker through the air.

It was early in the innings. I'll have to check up on the exact delivery but here are also comments from the match thread supporting the claim.
that looked out
That's out!

this could be the only one you r talking about
7.1 Harbhajan Singh to Warner, no run, huge shout for lbw. Warner is caught back to a length ball. He looked dead but got a late inside edge. Good call from the ump, Marais Erasmus

perhaps...i'll have to check IIRC..nah don't think there was an inside edge... hit the pad first anyways, Harbhajan should've bowled better even if it was OUT
