Now they want everything now ... like in pepsi ad ... yes abhi now. Hence they have lost all their humility, respect for opposition, patience, hard work and grit. These were qualities that were seen in last generation cricketeers which are missing in today's cricketeers. Last generation or should I say the 90s generations saw some of the best cricketeers ever in the subcontinent ... Akram, Anwar, Ijaz, Inzamam, Waqar, Sachin,Sanath, Marvan, Jaya, Aravinda, Murali, Kumble, Dravid, Ganguly, Yousuf, Younis, Laxman, etc. Such quality of players along with willingness to work for perfection is missing albeit players like pujara and matthews are still there who really show that determination still exists but when we see Rohit Sharma or Umar Akmal .. we know why today the sub-continent teams are losing everywhere.

I seriously am disliking what is transpiring in world cricket at the moment. There are only 3 great teams and those are South Africa, England, and South Africa. The reason why they are so successful is that they know their priorities. Test Cricket is treated with utmost respect in those countries and that is something which many of the Indian youngsters have failed to do. They prefer the IPL cricketainment and the results are showing. To make i more blatant,I would go on to say that the Asian teams as a whole prefer the shorter versions to Tests. Which brings me to my next point. It is truly saddening to see that Asian teams are being thrashed in the western world. Here are the results of the 3 top Asian teams against the western trifecta recently India raped 8-0 away from home Sri Lanka outplayed 3-0 in Australia Pakistan bullied into submission 3-0 by South Africa. There is a high possibility that India will be beaten 3-0 by SA next year.. Oh jolly If this is how things are going to continue, then Cricket will become a dying sport.. heck people are already saying it is. Who would continue to watch a sport where one part of the world totally dominates the other? I just cannot see hope especially for Indian youngsters to help the country win in the western trifecta. The present day Indian cricketer's ambition is to become a millionaire by playing in the IPL. Meanwhile Aus, SA, and Eng cricket boards continue to lead with integrity.. CA made sure that Watson skipped the Champions League returned in time for the SA series in November. That was a pure example of how professionally cricket is run in Australia. Would we have seen the same thing unfoild with the BCCI? fat chance. It is truly sickening to watch.
