oneANDone Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I wonder people always talk about players Talent/Technique in the same way they were arguing about players inclusion / exclusion What is the criteria for the best Talent/Technique is it about matches vs runs? or is it about text book stroke plays? or is it about strategies under pressure? or is it about some former players recommendation? or is it about opportunity vs performance? or is it about records? which one of the above holds high weightage to measure talent?
Jersey #10 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 From Jadeja to Rohit and everything in between
I6MTW Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Jadeja is a person who has unlimited improvement. He improves constantly every second.
Crookbond Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 The number of ducks. The more you have the more talented you are like Shahid Afridi.

I am afraid I'll have to correct you on two aspects: 1) It is spelt "Talunt" (or "Tailunt" if you go by the local dialect) 2) It can be measured accurately as follows: a) Take a foot long scale, position it parallel to the face with the upper portion of the scale starting at the lips b) Measure the length of the beard right underneath. Lets call it "x" c) Then you take piece of thread and use that to measure the circumference of the head. Lets call it "y" d) Then you insert the thread in one of the ears and take it straight out of the other ear. If in step (b), x = 4 inches or above, good news you got "tailunt", but you dont know what to do with it yet. If in step ©, y = 10 inches or above, bad news, you are "thick headed". You prolly got tailunt, but you got limited use for the same. If in step (d), the thread comes out of the other ear (in most cases something should block the vent to the other ear), then you are blessed, you are a rare speciment called "Afridi", loads of "tailunt", lots of pawar and the right to remain 16 foreva.

Desi Cartman Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Numbers of games in which sucked/Number of games played = Talent % For example : IShant has done well in say 10 matches out of 50 that he has played so his score is 40/50 = 80% talent
Texy Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 You can only measure talent when it rises to full potential
Sachinism Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 From Jadeja to Rohit and everything in between This sums it up pretty much
nevada Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Couple of blistering IPL innings, serial failures in international outings with the odd gem of an innings once in a blue moon.

oneANDone Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Jadeja is a person who has unlimited improvement. He improves constantly every second. A Dynamic Talent.. :--D
oneANDone Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Domestic Stats :dontknow: If you go that theory, you itself know who should be in the team right now...:winky:
oneANDone Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Numbers of games in which sucked/Number of games played = Talent % For example : IShant has done well in say 10 matches out of 50 that he has played so his score is 40/50 = 80% talent :omg: Nohit has 99% talent... May b thats why everybody call him talented...:cantstop:
oneANDone Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 You can only measure talent when it rises to full potential Lets say 300 FC matches, 100 Tests and 400 LOI's... At that time somebody would have retired already...:hmmm:
