vvvslaxman Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 What crime has Pankaj Singh committed, why is India's best bowler right now out I think he stole a rye bread from an old lady
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Lol On s serious note what a poor sports body BCCI is, constantly letting down crickets 1 billion fans, shoddy management, politics, selections.
saneindian Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Has got no god father and no support from his home board either. Can't believe he hasn;t even got A tours.
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 I have followed him very closely last few years, he has gained pace and bowls close to 136 to 142 range and moves the ball both ways, coming from 6 and half foot frame gets bounce, ability to bowl long spells target and hit good areas, regularly bowls wicket taking deliveries, it is frustrating the India's best bowler presently is not playing
I6MTW Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Should move to Australia and get citizenship. He will be welcomed there and might get chance to play for team. India will never select him.
philcric Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hopefully he gets games and bowls well for RCB in this year's IPL. I know it's 20-20 games, but if he can bowl with pace, movement and bounce,, he might finally get some attention from the selectors. He already has impressive FC numbers, may be IPL can be that final push for him to get lucky.
rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Once you are type cast as a bowler who lacks pace, it is not easy to get selected, but baffling is that even Vinay and Mithun dont have pace but they are still selected whenever there is a space for them to come.
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Is it sarcasm or u have substance and facts to ur claim
tweaker Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Should have been selected for 3rd and 4th test against Australlia
Old guy Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Once you are type cast as a bowler who lacks pace' date=' it is not easy to get selected, but baffling is that even Vinay and Mithun dont have pace but they are still selected whenever there is a space for them to come.[/quote'] irony of indian cricket isnt it ? we dont get any fast bowlers but we are the most obsessed with them lol once someone hits 140k he is immediately hyped up by everyone..latest example that warrior guy:--D
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Does anyone have Joe Dawes twitter address
G_B_ Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 deserves a chance for sure. Maybe needs to move to one of the fashionable ranji outfits.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 He needs to ask his agent to get a gig with either CSK or MI. But how Unadkat was selected to the Indian team is a mystery to me.
G_B_ Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I think India need some sort of selection system (a) do you pick new players from ranji championship winning/finalist teams? Which Punkaj was a part of with Rajasthan. Its in a way sad that no Rajasthan player made it to the Indian national team. With wickets taken in the finals or knockout stages carrying more weight than those in group stages. (b) Do you judge players only after they play 40 first class matches as a mark of consistency? and discard those below a certain bowling average and average speed. © Do you pick players from certain associations only, in which case promising players are allowed to move those associations. I notice how Rayadu has moved to Baroda and he got a call in the Irani cup.
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Yes that is how it works, talent gets wasted, with all the talent India has a country like England would have formed 5 world class teams and we cannot have even one
saneindian Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 He needs to ask his agent to get a gig with either CSK or MI. But how Unadkat was selected to the Indian team is a mystery to me. Not a mystery. Bowled well in the u-19 WC in Jan 2010 clocking upto 138 KPH and moving the ball well. Got picked for the India A tour, played a FC match and took 13 wickets vs WI A. Played the Irani Trophy picked a 5-er, continued the decent form in Ranji trophy. So at that time, don't think he was a bad choice for the 15. Dhoni and Kirsten were very impressed him as per the reports. But obviously did not look ready for international cricket on his debut.
MCcricket Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Unadkats action and bowling was so bad anyone could see mediocricity all over then l
Dumbbells Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I don't think he should be selected considering his already 28.
Vanarp22 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Not a mystery. Bowled well in the u-19 WC in Jan 2010 clocking upto 1338 KPH and moving the ball well. rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 1338 kph? Do you mean 133.8? :hysterical: no 138K, clocked in U19 world cup. He was quicker in U19 WC than the one test he played.
