Detonator Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 114 perth not 115. yes, just checked in cricinfo Thank you!! :agree:
vamos_rafa Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 ODIs I would rate his 100 in the CB series as the best away. Home in ODIs, well there are so many!
daryl1985 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 ODI's Home : 200 against SA "First man on the planet to reach it. And it's the super man!!" Away : 98 against Pak in 2003 WC. It was a shame that he got out when he did and that the tail collapsed.
adi B Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Would say that his 175 against Australia was better than his 200*. It was a shame that he got out when he did and that the tail collapsed. actually he collapsed
Pagalpanti Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 actually he collapsed yes lets blame him, saala budha scored only 175 leaving tail chasing 19 of 17 balls.
vayuu1 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Home:136 vs pak Away : surprised no body mentioned 192 vs England at headingly over cast conditions a green pitch, bowl swinging a mile, that was an amazing knock.
vvvslaxman Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Home:136 vs pak Away : surprised no body mentioned 192 vs England at headingly over cast conditions a green pitch, bowl swinging a mile, that was an amazing knock. when he batted conditions much better. Only on day 1 batting was horribly difficult. Dravid made a brilliant 148. Bangar survived too to make 65. Dravid duly won man of the match. He has played so many great innings. But one that sticks out for me is his first ever century which incidentally saved India . 119 not out. The pressure England applied on him was immense. He came through flying colors.
Texan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 AWAY: I would go with the 119* too in England, was a match-saving hundred from a relatively new player who had never scored a hundred before. HOME: I would go with the 155* that he scored against Warne. It's hard to find a truly match-winning or match-saving innings of epic proportions from him, but this could be the one since it set the tone for India since Warne with his reputation was expected to run through the batting line-up.
Crookbond Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Short form of the game Home - 175 vs Australia Hyderabad 2009-10 Away - 117 not out CB series Final vs Australia 2008, 134 vs Australia 97-98 Sharjah Final and 143 vs Australia 97-98 Sharjah League Game (Sorry but there's no way I can pick one out of them). Longer Form of the game Home - 233* vs Tamil Nadu (SF of Ranji Trophy) 1999-2000 and 136 vs Pakistan Chennai 1999 Tendulkar after the TN game - "This is one of my best innings. This includes one-day internationals and Test cricket also." Away - 146 vs SA Centurion 2011

Junyfan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I like the article on cricinfo about tendulkar, mediocre bowlers in the team should be blamed for tendulkar least success.

No they were not. It was just that Dravid and Bangar batted so very well that it appeared so. When Sachin came in on Day 1, it was still swinging and seaming profusely. Flintoff bowled a series of short pitch stuff from around the wicket.
Stan AF Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Home - 136 vs pak/ 155 vs aus. Away - 169 and 146 both vs sa.

Ganguly infact simply toyed with the bowling. This point was analyzed in the commentary itself . Promptly Dravid was adjudged man of the match.
