Modi bhakts are fundoos. In our society fundoos are looked upon on so they hide under the garb of development. When you point out that there are half a dozen states in India who are doing the same or better development without being fundoos, so why aren't they supporting those governments, they have no sane response. That's the end of discussion.

Kerala is Lashkar's most favourite recruitment hub these days. Not to forget the recent incidents of distributing cards hailing Osama and offering prayers for Kasab in a mosque. Sorry but I will still prefer Modi's Gujarat over hundreds of such Keralas .

What Kerala has achieved in the field of health and education is truly remarkable. Wonder why not too many states or even the central govt has not tried to adopt the same model. Especially their success in primary education and rural immunization programs is worth emulating. Industrial development however has been a laggard and if the recent news reports about a new labor policy coming into force in the middle east are true, it may have adverse impact on the remittances flowing in (which account for over 30% of Kerala's GSDP) which have largely driven the services sector in the state. The daaru culture in Kerala also helps as it helps generate over 6000+ cr of excise for the state govt coffers.

Kerala' date=' in terms of HDI, is indeed a role model to all states - no two ways about it.[/quote'] Part of the credit goes to the visionary Kings of Travancore who ruled till 1947 (and covered over 55-60% of modern day Kerala). Have read about their efforts of creating a welfare state to improve literacy, healthcare related services and even land reforms. Post independence, the successive govts have carried on that tradition.

The **** is wrong with almost everyone who posted on this thread ? Can't you live without attacking/defending Modi once ?
How did Modi even get to this divine thread?
Well it started when people started bringing religion into this

No, it started when you decided to bring Modi into this thread for some random reason. :winky:

It's good to see that even after 60 years of independence, this still exists.

Literacy rate may be high' date=' however I am not sure Kerala has a single institute of repute there. Seems like they are content with getting people over the basic literary requirement. One thing I liked about Kerala is that the place is clean, people are clean and overall they try to keep their state clean and tidy.[/quote'] Kerala is free from industrial pollution. That is one thing i like. Partly due to their "union" culture not many ventures are going to succeed there.

End of discussion with seculars about Modi ends at him being a Hindu leader. They cant see that Gujarat is the only state in the past ten years to have a consistent agricultural growth rate of above 10 percent. Gujarat is the only 24/7 electricity providing state. Gujarat has also the best road system as acknowledged by UN. First digest this and then talk about development of other states.
