Dinesh karthick should be in our t 20 team. I saw him play a good inning in sa in t20I. Havent seen much later. But today agian he played a good innings. what do you say ?

Despite his heroics with the gloves today? His keeping skills continue to wane ( the acrobatics look good but not effective). A very good batsman, not sure of the wk/batsman part.

Actually among the keepers we have he is easily the best fielder. So he can occasionally allow Dhoni to take rest.

As a fielder, he is agile but misses/fumbles the ball far too many times, a bit like how Noel David was if you remember. Will pull off blinders but miss simple chances as well. IMO after being shunted out of the team, he should have focused on his batting and become TN's regular opener in FC cricket. Still think he will have a role to play as an opener in the test squad with so many foreign tours coming up and the team in a transition.

Dinesh Karthik is a batsman with good technique.He gets right forward and plays the short ball well off the backfoot.I remember pat symcox commented his style resembles that of ponitng thrusting the front foot forward and getting back quickly.He is very good keeper to fast bowlers and has improved to spinners .

His keeping has gone from acceptable to bad to worst. In his last few Tests as keeper, he was worse than Kamran Akmal. He's a decent batsman, but does not deserve a place in the team based on batting talent alone.
