Karan114 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Calm down Pujara fans' date=' it doesn't mean Pujara isn't in India's ODI team plans for all his career. They didn't pick Bhaji, Zak and Viru because they will be old by the time 2015 WC comes so they picked a team accordingly. [b']We all know how Pujara was owned in SA last time so they didn't want any ftb's. They wanted players like future captain Virat Kohli. :two_thumbs_up: After 2015 WC Pujara will definitely feature in the team :two_thumbs_up: Nice to see the very talented Rohit Sharma still in the plans, hope we see more of this from him in 2015: Rohit Sharma 77 vs Australia SCG 2008 - YouTube Kohli was owned like a little ***** in his first five Tests away from home as well - and neither the WI nor Aus pace attacks were anything like as strong as SA's either. Pujara was very composed on a Durban pitch where most of our other batsmen bar Laxman flopped.
G_B_ Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I dont know why people are disappointed about Rahane the boy sat on a bench for months and lost his form when he got his chance. Going into the champions trophy he will probably have gained that by playing a lot of RR matches. Basically this means that those among the 30 who have a good IPL will be be selected (barring ofcourse the sure shots like MSD and Yuvi)
Sidhoni Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Some very good selections in the probables but Pujara's exclusion is baffling. Zaheer should have been there.
Sooda Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Abu Nechim should have been there too- probably our best pacer in ltd overs domestics. A better call than Pandey and Kaul that would have been.
rkt.india Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Abu Nechim should have been there too- probably our best pacer in ltd overs domestics. A better call than Pandey and Kaul that would have been. He got his chance to impress in Deodhar. selectors were there, bowled poorly, looked disinterested, fluffed it. Kaul was the best bowler on show and is picked.
Needforspeed Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Eventually what will matter is the final 15 who are picked. I hope selectors give chance to people like Ishwar Pandey and Kaul there.
skindia Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 again vijay hazare trophy performers like robbie are ignored...what more he needs to do. is he not good enough to be in being 30 atleast.
King Khan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 tbh I wont mind India to put a poor show in England anyway. I think this will help Sehwag to regain his form back here in IPL.
puneet28 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Calm down guys. Read Cricinfo article thoroughly. They say Pujara will be leading India A tour to SA and should dates not clash he still can be selected for Champions Trophy
The Realist Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 No Piyush Chawla?:(( Has Dhoni lost confidence with him?
saneindian Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 No Piyush Chawla?:(( Has Dhoni lost confidence with him? We have no chance of winning an ICC event without him :((
Texan Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 Calm down guys. Read Cricinfo article thoroughly. They say Pujara will be leading India A tour to SA and should dates not clash he still can be selected for Champions Trophy If that is the case, then this is a masterful move. It is better to get Pujara in SA to get him familiar with conditions there. He is our main batsman now in the Test team.
Texan Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 again vijay hazare trophy performers like robbie are ignored...what more he needs to do. is he not good enough to be in being 30 atleast. Robbie who? :hmmmm2:
Texan Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 No Piyush Chawla?:(( Has Dhoni lost confidence with him? Amit Mishra is a way superior leg spinner than Chawla.
MCcricket Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Good selections except no place for PK, Dinda, would have Rahul Sharma for Mishra who is a waste and Pankaj for PK, Sreesanth for Dinda
wanted_desi Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Good to see Sid there, now since he won't be selected for the final 16, but he will be selected for India A. Thats where i want him in the first place to see what can he do on those tracks, I have a feeling he will do better than what Ishant can do.
wanted_desi Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 No Pujara??? He will lead India A in South Africa.
