vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 So far.. so many singlehanded efforts Gayle 95* Pollard 57* KKD 60 Dhoni 51 Mahela 66 Warner 77 To me Gayle's 95 sticks out. What a knock. Dave Miller 80 not out Viru 95 not out
Pagalpanti Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Amazing that 3 of those came in a losing cause. Pollard and Gayle equally good, single handedly gave their team a defendable total.
Ultimate_Game Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 This time round pitches are much better as they have something in it for bowlers. We haven't seen 180+ scores yet and bowlers have been with a chance most games which makes for exciting cricket :two_thumbs_up:

Dhoni's case it was 50/50 as he didn't have many to depend upon. KKD also took his side to brink before blowing in the last 2 overs.
Zelig Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I think Gayle has a couple of centuries left in him, if he plays the entire season :om:
Texan Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Gayle's innings was the best so far. Dhoni also almost pulled off what could have been a stunning victory. Bad luck that he picked out the tallest fielder in the team. Gayle is not done yet. I expect more such single-handed efforts from him.
maniac Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Are we talking about the current tournament? If not these are some of my favorite IPL innings...Have more but these 3 for now There was this Rohit Sharma innings were he hit 20+ runs againt Mashrafe Mortaza in one of the earlier IPL's. Gilchrist innings in the 2nd IPL vs Delhi where Delhi was just shut out of the tournament after being favorites. Yusuf Pathan's 100 was some amazing hitting.
I6MTW Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Why isn't Dravid's Knock there? After being rusty for over a year, he played very well for Rajasthan to reach to 165.

I believe OP is only talking about current tournament. All the knocks listed were played in current edition only.
Abhilash123 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Dhoni's and pollard's are best.... Gayle did his usual thing!1
Sidhoni Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Dhoni's knock - others were no where near the pressure in which he was.
asterix Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Pollards knock... Like a champion, steered the innings with Bhajji and won the match for his team instead of choking...
JaFanatic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Pollards knock... Like a champion' date=' steered the innings with Bhajji and won the match for his team [b']instead of choking... needs to be highlighted :cantstop:
NareshK Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Dravid also played a good knock against Delhi. 65 off 50 odd deliveries after a gap of 10 months since last IPL.
