asterix Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Keep on dreaming and chocking till then :hysterical: Keep choking on yellow chit till then... :hysterical:
JaFanatic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Obviously u need to win motm to contribute. U can't contribute without winning motm ;)) first you said he won the cup now saying he contributed guess next time you might say he was part of the team and thats quite an achievement :hysterical::hysterical:
BeautifulGame Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 So a 36 and a 45 scored nearly 65 months ago is the highlight of his t20 career? Such a great T20 player. As for memories, well people remember Rohit's and Yuvi's knocks from those matches because they were the better knocks. Did I say Yuvi and Rohit's weren't better knocks? And please quote me where I mentioned him a great T20 international player? But to say something like he has not never contributed to the NT when he played an important knock in World Cup triumph is just ignorance
JaFanatic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Keep choking on yellow chit till then... :hysterical: the loss still hurts them :cantstop:
BeautifulGame Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Keep choking on yellow chit till then... :hysterical: Yep choking and keep getting dumped out by us :cantstop:

BeautifulGame Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 the loss still hurts them :cantstop: Lol I had a terrific time in stadium yesterday. That's all that matters. Not a child to be hurt seriously u know
CG Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I think Dhoni is at his peak ,has improved in last few years as a limited overs batsman along with the quality of bowling has declined .For guys like Dhoni,Symonds, yuvi at peaks the battle is half won when they come ,bowlers try diff things for ex-bhajji bowled 4-5 fulltosses yesterday as he was trying for yorkers but actually the balls he pitched on good length was the one which dhoni struggled.Dhoni hits straight so fast bowlers do not have many options except yorkers .Imo they should try to bowl outside offstump with bit off bounce as he is not that good cutter.
BeautifulGame Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 the point is he dont have the kind of impact that he should have had Well I certainly agree with that. He had massively underachieved in last 3 worl cups
Shunya Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 he is India's best currently out of people playing all 3 format
JaFanatic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Lol I had a terrific time in stadium yesterday. That's all that matters. Not a child to be hurt seriously u know so you really enjoyed our team's match winning performance :nice:
CG Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Regarding dhoni failures in wc .The quality of bowling was better and the pitches in wi and eng had good pace and bounce.
saneindian Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Did I say Yuvi and Rohit's weren't better knocks? And please quote me where I mentioned him a great T20 international player? But to say something like he has not never contributed to the NT when he played an important knock in World Cup triumph is just ignorance 36 and 45 maybe "impact" innings for you not so much for me, hence the statement "Hasn't done anything of note in T20Is"
G_B_ Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 between Dhoni and D Kartick i would pick Kartick at the moment as the T20 player. Biggest problem with Dhoni in T20s is his strike rate. You cant come in at 6/7 and have a strike rate of 115. 115 as a strike rate is ok for a number 3 batsman or maybe an opener. I would rather Dhoni average 25 with the bat and have a strike rate of 150 coming at number 6/7. Dhoni's average in the T20s is also inflated due to the number of non outs he has had. His highest score in international t20s is 48 not out. Thats pretty poor going.
SLICKR392 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Regarding dhoni failures in wc .The quality of bowling was better and the pitches in wi and eng had good pace and bounce. What failures in WC apart from the one against England?
Vilander Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I think Dhoni is at his peak ' date='has improved in last few years as a limited overs batsman along with the quality of bowling has declined .For guys like Dhoni,Symonds, yuvi at peaks the battle is half won when they come ,bowlers try diff things for ex-bhajji bowled 4-5 fulltosses yesterday as he was trying for yorkers but actually the balls he pitched on good length was the one which dhoni struggled.Dhoni hits straight so fast bowlers do not have many options except yorkers .Imo they should try to bowl outside offstump with bit off bounce as he is not that good cutter.[/quote'] he hit one of those sehwag style cut/slash over third man yesterday.
G_B_ Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 What failures in WC apart from the one against England? he scored 15 of 21 balls in the crucial match v Australia batting at 7. I remember that, innings i wanted to pull my hair out the way he was batting. Freaking Ashwin had a better strike rate. All us Indian fans were in a pub, totally irritated by the way he was failing to hit Cumming away. He did not bat v Pakistan. Scored a cameo v SA (fair enough) In the groups games he failed v England he was there for a few balls v Afghanistan. his average once again boosted by not outs and a top score of 23 (not out)
CG Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 What failures in WC apart from the one against England? I think u mean odi wc.In t20 wc even in last one dhoni struggled against england, australia and in wi he and indian team were exposed on a bouncy track by aussie pacers.
Straight Drive Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Bhajji bowled full tosses because there was dew. Same with Johnson who could not grip it well.Teams that win toss in Chennai should opt to bowl first in D/N match. Not doing so will be a blunder.Luckily dew has not been seen so far in Hyderabad ,Kolkotta and Jaipur D/N matches.
CG Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 he hit one of those sehwag style cut/slash over third man yesterday. Its not his strong point. His strength is hitting straight .Its all relative.
