Not everyone is Sachin. People need to remember that. At 20, sitll able to score a ton every 10 game isn't bad. Hopefully he will get consistent with time. We should look at his first class record which is better than his twenty20 record which people watch more these days and seeing Unmukt fail early in that they assume he isn't good enough. Give the dude another year or two to establish himself in first class. He might get a call for odi's if he does something special.

Some may be ready in a year, who knows. Personally after 2015 world cup I would defo get one of them in for starters. Maybe one may get a chance before world cup and do something to get a place. Who knows how good one of them maybe and prodigious them may be to flourish sooner or later. But defo people should lay of hammering them and give them a chance. As kids like this will have their ups and downs. You need the downs to learn and get better

There was a place in the top order for SA, so they took the chance and bought him in. Same can't be said for India , the batting seems stable so the young guys will have to wait a bit longer to get into the mix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks to IPL in a way,young Indians don't fear pace bowling anymore...I mean you can bowl 140's and 150's all day and they will handle it with ease but they are losing the technique and patience to tackle swing and movement.SHort pitch has been a problem to the 90% of the Indian batsman since eternity. Having said that Chand looked like a sitting duck against the likes of Lee,etc from what I have seen and I would rate that more than any Ranji bowler or u-19 bowler he has played and so far the verdict is not-impressed.Samson on the other hand seems like the one for the future.

^ IPL does also expose them to big crowds, big tv audience, big pressure. So when they do play for India they are more ready to handle the mental side

Let Chand score more runs and play more A tour games. Let's not make the same mistake we made with Rohit Sharma. Rohit always looked good but was still a raw talent who needed more outings to set his mindset right. Unmukt might impress us in one or two games and then might end up gong how Rohit went during the start of his ODI career. Now Rohit seems to have settled down after 6 years. He is still a young player at 26 years. Let this dude score more and than bring him to the side. No denying, he is a good prospect, but still too Raw who needs to just keep scoring.

Rohit must have been scoring runs for Mumbai Ranji, but to be honest, in last 7 years, the only slot which was available to steal was that of an opener in our test side. Everthing was booked between Tendulkar-Laxman-Dravid and rightly so. Hence, most players couldn't make it to this test side which was our first ever test side to reach no. 1 in ages.
