Ideally Punter needs to cite 'injury' and sit out the remaining matches. That'll allow Dwyane Smith to come in and Open with 'Dulkar.. Things might still not work out but atleast this will allow KDK, Nohit & middle order some breathing space... Nohit/KDK has been virtually opening in most of the matches as the oldies fail...

flamy Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Sachin has scored runs for MI in the past and has done well on a couple of occasions this season too. That quick fire 44 is a good example. Also, his presence brings in tens of thousands of people into stadiums and brings in millions of tv viewers at home which is a very important factor. Never underestimate HIS fandom. Ponting is the captain, so he will stay and he cant bat anywhere other than as an opener. He is too slow to be a middle order batsman in T20. So for better or worse, MI is stuck with its openers. :P :woot::woot::woot:
