rkt.india Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 he gave away a lot of runs and some people here think pace is everything :hysterical: He did give away runs, but he did not bowl any real bad balls like Cooper and Trivedi did. Everyone bar Faulknar and Ashwin went for runs for both sides yesterday. It was brilliance of Hussey.

He is very accurate and can be handful in helpful conditions. Pace is not everything, but its an added advantage which bowlers need to learn how to use. Even a genuine pace bowler will need to bowl right line and length and also move the ball when conditions help. Basics are same for everyone whether one bowls at 130 or 140 plus.

Should have had Chawan ahead of him on a slow track but people here would have gone berserk for not picking him.
vishalvirsingh Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Chennai Wicket is death bed for Pace bowlers and possibly one shud play Most spinners in chennai Awana bowled well today good bounce and 136 K pace
Rocky Balboa Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Here we go...They benched him again. Not sure he is injured now...
The Outsider Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Here we go...They benched him again. Not sure he is injured now... He might not be injured, but he is ***** - sprays the ball all over the place.
Rocky Balboa Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 He might not be injured' date=' but he is ***** - sprays the ball all over the place.[/quote'] Did well in first match. He s a rookie. Gotta give more time...
Lord Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Did well in first match. He s a rookie. Gotta give more time... but others r doing better.so he doesnt merit a place
Pagalpanti Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Binny actually bowled decently.. 120-125 kph and doesn't spray.. and is a hitter.. and provides more balance to RR. So I doubt Shukla is going to find a way back any soon.
Rocky Balboa Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 For all d haters, how did umesh started his career? was he accuarate? He is d best bowler we have now. No bowler is gonna start doing wonders from first match.
rkt.india Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 He might not be injured' date=' but he is ***** - sprays the ball all over the place.[/quote'] Cooper and Trivedi sprayed the ball more than him in that match. he did not bowl real bad balls or gave freebies like Cooper and Trivedi if you watched the match against CSK. Cooper had bad game even against SRH.

rkt.india Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 We are talking about Shukla here. Really over hyped after seeing his performance in IPL so far but not somewhere where you judge a bowler. He is a young bowler. I dont think too many people even knew about him before this let alone hype. He played three matches and bowled well in two matches. He helped them win both those two matches one of which he bowled 19th over gave just 9 runs where DD need 17 runs in last 2 overs. Watson conceded 12 runs against CSK in last over. I was saying Cooper and Trivedi bowled even poorer than him in the match against CSK. Watch that match and tell who actually bowled poor freebies, cooper and trivedi. He has helped them won 2 out of 3 matches and you are saying he is overhyped. Young players wont improve until they play more at this level. Our FC alone wont make them international player. They dont lack skills but temperament and fine tuning of those skills and that is what matters most at international level.
msb1991 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Cooper and Trivedi sprayed the ball more than him in that match. he did not bowl real bad balls or gave freebies like Cooper and Trivedi if you watched the match against CSK. Cooper had bad game even against SRH. Check out Cooper's T20 record though. It is something special. Trivedi has served RR well over the years.
someone Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Typical fans, one good performances, suddenly he should play for India, he should play every game. RR haven't ignore Shukla. But he has failed to take his chances and is battling for the spot with many other fast bowlers. Using this thread, one could say the same thing about Sreesanth
rkt.india Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Check out Cooper's T20 record though. It is something special. Trivedi has served RR well over the years. Record aside, he bowled poorly.
