This is the thread dedicated to Subramnyam Badrinath, the unsung hero who is one of the vitally responsible members for :csk:'s dominance in IPL Go-for-man when team is in trouble and saves the team as a life boat... If there is severe crisis and emergency measure to be taken up to protect the shore, incomes Badri as the crisis manager to settle things. His tally may not be impressive, strike rate just ok, brilliant fielder as always, we will never stop supporting you Badri!! :hail: Badri

The sheer number of times Badri has come in, steadied a rocking ship and set the platform for hitters down the order is ridiculous. I remember that his batting during the inaugural version of the tournament was one of the things that completely took me by surprise. I didn’t think he had it in him to be a successful T20 bat, yet he came and has played multiple brisk innings in his time at CSK. The true testament of his value in the team lies in the fact that, despite not having a bat in almost 1 every 3 games he plays, he’s the 2nd most capped CSK player of all time, even above MSD. And before I forget – his fielding’s awesome too!

Badri hasn't gotten many chances this year cause he comes in early only when we lose quick wickets and the one chance he got he contributed to a good partnership with Raina.

The perfect batsman to come in in a situation like 10/2. Even from those situations he lays the platform for the big hitters down the order. And also, his timely harakiris :giggle: Great fielder as well!

Why hasn't Badri played for India often? He's near retiring age and he hasn't gotten many chances. He seems like a VVS laxman.

Just shows that csk is the only team with a think tank that actually "thinks".He's sent in whenever they feel his style of consolidation is needed and almost never send him after the 15th over.Badri himself seems comfortable with this and it has worked:hatsoff:

Maybe but atleast he doesnt hang around just for the sake of a crappy 50
You have fitted into the role of the No. 4 quite beautifully... Yes, it's the slot where I feel most comfortable. My job is to lend stability to the batting order and go for the shots once the platform is laid. I think I have done that well in this tournament so far.

"As for the Ranji season, it's true I haven't had a [typical] Badrinath season, but the fact that I missed two games due to injury can't be ignored. Besides, I don't understand the double standards that are applied. Why are those who have scored just about as many runs as me without missing a match considered to have had a very good season and why am I told otherwise? Why is it that for Badrinath, a good season means getting a thousand runs and for others, even 500 runs are exceptional?"
:hysterical::hysterical: What a clown! Actually think he is Bradmanath that people expect him to do twice as well.
