SLICKR392
001Miller IMO. 4 wickets down and 190 to chase and score that many runs and win your team a game from the brink of defeat is :hatsoff:

someone
It depends what you judge by. It is total domination vs match winning. If total domination, Gayle wins easily. If match winning, then it get tougher. Both were match winning innings but Miller was much much better given the context of the game situation. Raghav_12
Chasing or First innings don't matter in such cases when you go absoultely all out against bowling. I don't think Miller was under anykind of pressure, he was simply trying to hit everything out of the park just like Gayle was trying to do. Pressure of chasing is in the cases where you have to mix caution with attack. Here in either case there was no caution. Miller's innings can't be better on the ground that it came in second innings. In fact no such grounds even exist in a game of T20. On the other hand Miller offered a sitter undermines his innings a bit. Also he had Indian pair of legends, Vinnie and RP, to hit against which also makes his innings a bit lesser.
G_B_
Mohali is a much bigger ground.
SLICKR392
Miller wins it IMO. Gayle was on a flatter pitch and against a much worse attack + he was setting the score, not chasing.
adi B
gayle for me,gayle too would have murdered vinee, rip, fatpaul even while chasing but 175 is soooo much!
Ram
I would go Gayle for the mere fact that there was a lot more calculation in his innings than Miller’s. Miller literally had nothing to lose and virtually went for everything that he thought was in his arc. This is reflected in the fact that there were multiple top-edges and mis-hits to the boundary during his innings. Gayle, in contrast, was carefully metering his assault because he wanted to bat right through the innings, which, if you think about, is an incredible thing given that he had SR of nearly 300! It is not that difficult to score 30 off 12 or 45 off 18 and be not out. But to be 17% not out off 66 balls..Crazy unbelievable feat!
bulbul
If context only matters then even 20 ball 40 while chasing will be a better innings than 40 ball 100batting first.
