I6MTW Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Kohli definitely does not deserve to be there. AVB as well, did nothing much in first 3 IPL seasons. Among the batsman, it's Raina, Rohit, Gayle who stand out the most. And perhaps the best cricketer in IPL is Watson as he can do very well with both bat and bowl. And best finisher's are Dhoni and ABDV. Best Anchor's are Dravid, Rahane, Badrinath.
someone Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 And best finisher's are Dhoni and ABDV. Best Anchor's are Dravid, Rahane, Badrinath. You didn't read the title? It's not the best players in their roles but the best all-time.
someone Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 And the likes of Mishra and even Chawla should be considered in this list.
I6MTW Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 You didn't read the title? It's not the best players in their roles but the best all-time. And I'm categorizing the best player's in the IPL depending on their roles. Dravid and Badrinath should be there in the list.
Detonator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 It's not a single IPL. It is two IPL's now. If a bowler plays 29 matches' date=' has an economy rate of 5.53, average of 13.84 with 3 4WI and 1 5WI, you still don't think he deserves a place? :headshake:[/quote'] Yes, if u take 2 IPL's there are Marsh, Gilly, Hayden, Warne, and few others had done better then him.. even Vijay comes close if speaking of impact they have made.. at the best Narine, can be given 8, 9 or 10th place.. giving him 3nd is too much fandumb.. Even Malinga can't come in 2nd.. he can't be given no more then 7th.. Sachin has can come in place of ABDV, becoz, I don't think ABD had done better then him..
bulbul Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Yes' date=' if u take 2 IPL's there are Marsh, Gilly, Hayden, Warne, and few others had done better then him.. even [b']Vijay comes close if speaking of impact they have made.. at the best Narine, can be given 8, 9 or 10th place.. giving him 3nd is too much fandumb.. Even Malinga can't come in 2nd.. he can't be given no more then 7th.. Sachin has can come in place of ABDV, becoz, I don't think ABD had done better then him.. Mooli is failed in other seasons , while Narine is yet to fail..so you :fail:
Executioner Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hussey has done well only in this season, didnt play much in the previous occassions, or wasnt as affective. Narine has played for just 2 seasons. Was awesome last year, did well this year but showing signs that he is getting used to. Kohli hasnt done enough
Zelig Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hussey has done well only in this season, didnt play much in the previous occassions, or wasnt as affective. Narine has played for just 2 seasons. Was awesome last year, did well this year but showing signs that he is getting used to. Kohli hasnt done enough Ya, so used to it that he is the second highest wicket taker and has the best econ/avg in the comp! :hatsoff:
daryl1985 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 In no particular order: Gayle Raina Rohit MSD Malinga Watson Shaun Marsh Mishra Struggling past this point. Would name Narine but this is only his 2nd season.
Detonator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Mooli is failed in other seasons ' date=' while Narine is yet to fail..so you :fail:[/quote'] 2011 final still haunting you, isn't it?
I6MTW Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 2011 final still haunting you' date=' isn't it?[/quote'] Vijay is the only cricketer to play a huge knock where it matters in the big stage, every year. He is consistent that way.
kubrickian Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 1. Raina 2. Dhoni 3. Gayle 4. Rohit Sharma 5. Malinga 6. Hussey/Gambhir 7. Ashwin 8. AB Devilliers 9. Mishra 10. Watson/Kohli
someone Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 1. Raina 2. Dhoni 3. Gayle 4. Rohit Sharma 5. Malinga 6. Hussey/Gambhir 7. Ashwin 8. AB Devilliers 9. Mishra 10. Watson/Kohli Some pathetic list. Watson at Number 10? And also together with Kolhi, is it a joke?
Lord Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Kohli hasnt been that good in earlier seasons Marsh should be there.won Orange cap in first season n has done decently all seasons
adi B Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 one should consider the players who have played at least 4 seasons, performed well consistently in at least 3.gambhir ,watson, mishra, marsh, symmonds should be there
I6MTW Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Where's Uthappa and Jadeja. He has performed well for 4 years. So has Utthappa.
Swing_n_Speed Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 In no particular order: Gayle Raina Rohit MSD Malinga Watson Shaun Marsh Mishra Struggling past this point. Would name Narine but this is only his 2nd season. yep this list get's it right. At XI I'd put in Hussey.
