They had a trump card in Vindu-Meiyappan partnership...they had Asad Rauf in their payroll. Most importantly Sharad Pawar and other politicians involved in BCCI affairs are all getting huge cuts of the 1500 crores riding on the bet.... It was Sharad Powar who was finally instrumental in cornering Srini and finalise a deal for the finals... Nobody's is interested that Srini resigns. It was just a ploy so that he begs to Dhoni to lose the final for him and his SIL. Nothing will happen to his SIL in this deal.. He'll get bail soon and the case will drag... Dhoni was very angry with Srini... Proud man that he is.... But he and his team did fix the match under Srinis pressure....that was the deal... So CSK fans no need to be happy... Your players did fixed the match under Srini's instructions.... The betting money always comes back to India and gets distributed to all the BCCI involved politicians and stake holders.... If underworld bookies has predicted MI to win and the news was public, most people would pile money on them. I checked the odds on betfair before the IPL began and MI along with KKR were favs followed by CSK. Match fixing happens when a rank underdog wins against highly favoured opposition. If people knew MI would win and piled money on MI winning and the bookies have made huge losses. I doubt if any match fixing has taken place. Why would you when spot fixing gives you odds of 20 to 1 for an over of action.

There are plenty of bookies who are too small to be connected to match fixing or are part of any syndicate/cartel. I am guessing even if MI were supposed to win the bookies made a 100-150 crore profit at max. Cause clearly you have to pay back the punters who bet on Mumbai. (who after news emerged Mumbai odds on to win or rumours must have piled a hell of a lot of money on Mumbai). Sharad Pawar is now beyond fixing. He makes 3000 crore simply on his profits from DB realty. 1500 as a whole put is simply too petty a figure for him. Its small money
