Each BCCI president has a term of 3 years. The BCCI probably could not find a suitable man in the south zone and those Srinivasan. From what i heard the BCCI is again changing the rule and removing rotation from the BCCI presidency as there is no suitable candidate in the east zone. Jaitley will be selected probably from the north zone.

The rule change is not just limited to Srini.. An amendment like that won't be made to benefit a single person.. It's for whoever comes in future and for a long term.. Srini is more like acceptable target for everyone.. He shld step down. some more corrupt guy might or might not succeed him.. Would be happy if the next guy is good..

We can't come to a conclusion without knowing the true circumstances, this is the only thing in Srini's favour. However, incidents like the L. Siva fiasco, Abrupt changes in IPL auction formats, retention rules, Amarnath's sacking all point towards one conclusion. He is too powerful for his own good.

Well, i think most big franchises like MI wanted the retention rule as well. Somebody like Kings 11 probably will be against it. If you are MI, would you like a team to play in Mumbai without Sachin? Amarnath was not sacked. He is not retained. Different things. Sacked would be if he was asked to step down while still in his term.
