Dravid acknowleding the impeccable execution of a classical cover drive, Rahul's signature shot, by Smith. And this while Smith was plundering Royals' bowlers and seemed set to take the game away from his team. Towards the end of the match, Sachin's face alternated between childish glee and worried seriousness every over. In the middle of all this noise about fixing it was nice to see these two still enjoying cricket.

Why? Becos of some stupid circus IPL, you are not in a mood to reminisce or enjoy about two of the greatest batting legends. All due to some tamaasha in IPL :haha:

Agreed. These are 2 of the finest ever, and hopefully this is their last year in this IPL crap-fest. I just wish that somehow the whole IPL thing capsizes and no more IPL ever.

For their own good, this should be both of their's last IPL and they shouldn't have any association with IPL in any other form like coaching etc. Otherwise while walking through deep mud, you will get some splatters on you( keeched mai chette to udte hi hai)

There were match fixing in team India also & we had these players coming in...so due to some...they didnt lose their focus...but on the contrary...the Indian team came out stronger after the fixers were eliminated. In the IPL....the same is going to happen. The few dirty players/officials/administrators needs to be thrown out. The tournament as well as the players can emerge stronger & can build better cricket going forward. (eg Modi ouster from IPL meant that the shameless & useless after parties were controled if not completely eleminated) Just hoping that the auction can be good, no unnecessary restriction on who will be in the bid (uncapped/capped)...plus no ceiling (if a team want to bid 5 million on a player so be it). & yes....all fixers once proven...should be banned (if not life...that atleast a long team to set an example)

Something refreshing amidst all this cr@p. Seriously disillusioned by the recent events. IPL is no more the trolling fun it used to be :(

With the amount of betting is involved i can't help but wonder how many more players are yet to be caught. Makes me suspect every single event or non event in a match. That is the worst possible scenario for a cricket fan.

Didn't see Smith's shot, but RD himself played some wonderful shots today. Would love to see him continue to play in the IPL.

The two significant moments for me were the two big wides bowled by Malinga at the crucial moment of the game. Something was really fishy in those wides.
