Sidhoni Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 no' date=' after being beaten 11-1 (4-0, 4-0, 3-1) and then defeating a beleaguered Aussies team at home.[/quote'] Beleaguered? Yes But it wasn't as if our side was power packed. And btw, that 11-1 is 9-5 (4-0Eng, 3-0Aus and 2-1 England and 4-0 Aus in Ind)
FischerTal Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 dhoni gone means a chance to have a decent wicketkeeper :yay:

And btw, that 11-1 is 9-5 (4-0Eng, 3-0Aus and 2-1 England and 4-0 Aus in Ind) yes, because defeating the great australian side consisting the likes of ATG phil hughes, david warner, nathan lyon, xacier doherty removes the sins of the past. :headshake:
SLICKR392 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 dhoni gone means a chance to have a decent wicketkeeper :yay: How is it a "chance to find" a decent WK? He is a the best we got in Test as of yet.
FischerTal Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 How is it a "chance to find" a decent WK? He is a the best we got in Test as of yet. did you see him in england and australia? he was terrible. saha, tare, or gautam are more fit for that job anyday
Sachin=GOD Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Beleaguered? Yes But it wasn't as if our side was power packed. And btw, that 11-1 is 9-5 (4-0Eng, 3-0Aus and 2-1 England and 4-0 Aus in Ind) Aus won the 4 test series 4-0. And I was talking till the Aus-India series in India so don't include that.
SLICKR392 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 did you see him in england and australia? he was terrible. saha' date=' tare, or gautam are more fit for that job anyday[/quote'] How good was Prior or how good Wade in the Aus series as far keeping is concerned. He looks in good touch and would be foolish to drop him. Tare is the only good find so far and I haven't got much hopes about Gautam. Give Tare an other year.

Give Tare an other year. i think best thing to do would be for dhoni to hand over gloves to another WK and for him to become ganguly's replacement as a genuine #6.it relieves the WK pressure from the captaincy, if that stays with him after all this
G_B_ Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 NCP still dictates terms in the NCP-Cong coalition in Maharashtra. Also Prithviraj Chawan isn't exactly a powerful CM and has no base of his own in Maharashtra to do anything against Pawar. no they dont..... Chavan may not have a base of his own but he has a direct mandate from high command. Otherwise there would not have been a Congress CM. Now with Vialasrao dead there is nobody left to challenge his mandate within Congress Maharashtra. Certainly not Narayan Rane. The fact are he has opened inquires and frozen a lot of assets of the irrigation ministry which was headed by the NCP.
Raghav_12 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Beleaguered? Yes But it wasn't as if our side was power packed. And btw, that 11-1 is 9-5 (4-0Eng, 3-0Aus and 2-1 England and 4-0 Aus in Ind) Riduculous line of thought. He was kept as captain even after 11-1 which clearly shows Srini had vested interest in him at that moment. Srini's whole empire should go which Dhoni is integral part of. Who supported Srini against Amarnath stay poorly exposed now. Some person whose family provides match strategies to bookies can not be entrusted with responsibility of running cricket in country. He has rushed to Mumbai to save his bookie Son-In-Law which is clearly and once again the interest of national cricket. As part of Dhoni himself, he needs to think, does he wants to continue symbolizing an institution (read CSK) which can been caught pants down in corruption. Repeated mentioning of his wife's name in whole saga also doesn't put Dhoni in good light. Don't want to suggest if his wife can directly be linked with fixing scandal but this is first time I have seen in Indian cricket when a leading cricketer is being used so much by his wife to hog limelight and media attention.
jf1gp_1 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 If CSK top management was involved in heavy betting , don't you think he would have tried to influence few things, and how can team captain not know about this. Just how I cannot see how Dravid didn't suspect some nonsense was going on in his team.

Tare is the only good find so far and I haven't got much hopes about Gautam. Give Tare an other year. Tare's keeping is not that great. In fact, he was poor and was dropped but he did improve his keeping and returned to Mumbai team but still far from international standard in tests.
vvvslaxman Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Dhoni will move to Delhi :two_thumbs_up: DD will start pwning MI left and right.

Austin 3:!6 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 It will be stupidity to remove Dhoni from Captaincy. He is still by far the best Indian Skipper. Dont look at it from CSK/IPL perspective...as an Indian cricket captain he is unparalled.
