That's unfortunate, although he was spent when he retired. But, honestly of all the Indian batsmen I have see since the 70s, no one, I mean no one, has delivered when it counted like VVS. He thrived under "prezzure"!! :giggle: :hatsoff::hatsoff:

He failed most of the time when there was no prezzure. hence his stats took a beating. Hence he is always considered slightly inferior. But it takes brass balls to play some of the innings he produced in his career.

Maybe he needed that prezzure to perform at his best. He got bored/distracted otherwise. The way he won the game at Mohali is pure magic!!! :hatsoff: There is no fecking way he is inferior. Yes, he did not have the footwork and the defence like SRT or Sachin, but who cares when he has been the go to guy time after time again!!
