Dravid, Ganguly, Kumble, VVS are all gone. Midget to go soon. None of the new crop excite me with the little exception of Pujara. With all these fecking fixing, I am just about ready to move on.... sigh!!!

Btw is this the first time we are playing a multinational tournament (more than 5 nations) without yuvraj in years? Yuvraj 1321 runs averaging 44.03 at a strike rate of 88.06 in multinational tournaments behind Tendu, Gangu, Azhar, Viru. Then comes Gauti, Dhoni, Raina around 700 runs.. We are going to miss a gun multination tournament player :(
UV is totally UNFIT......... i Saw him in 2 matches he was not running even during fielding.......

I think Irfan will most likely play. The conditions might suit his style of bowling. Bhuvaneswar Kumar, Umesh Yadav should play. Other batsmen pick themselves. If wicket is flat, they should pick Vinay Kumar as he has better control than Ishant. But on wickets which are helpful for bowlers, pick Ishant. Kartik should be the opener and Rohit Sharma in the middle order and leave out Vijay. I'm not sure Ashwin is in the best of form going by how he bowled in IPL and the pitches might not suit his bowling. Jadeja and Ashwin should both play in warm ups and then they should pick one among them.
Irfan pathan and Bhuvnesh shud play all the matches along with ishant, umesh and ashwin. ashwin and irfan are all rounders and I wud not play jaddu even in a single game in england. ashwin and mishra can interchange as even mishra is really Good. irfan will probably always get an initial wicket with his swing- his chance of getting the first wicket in england are as high as BHuvnesh's chance of getting a breakthrough. in english conditions in the first spell irfan bowls 130 to 136k and with big swing and he is as dangerous as any other bowler, it is just in second spell that he becomes 124 to 130 and ven swing diminishes.... ishant and UMESH - one guy is a wicket taking bowler but run giving other guy does not take wickets but does not gives many runs.... ashwin and mihsra both r equally good and i kinda feel MISHra ji should also get a chance as not many batsman play genuine leg spin well....

Prediction- Bhuvi to get 13 wickets in group stage
there is a lot of hype for BHUVNESH and he must have been studied .. i guess opening batsman will play him OUT,....possibly take a single or 2 runs per over and play his first spell out. This guys has the capability to bowl 10 overs at trot too and Dhoni may get him to bowl 7 to 8 overs at stretch too.......... I dont see Bhuvi taking more than 1 or 2 wickets in every match as He is liekly to be Watched out too much in his first 3 overs.....so when the batsman are just too Consious they will try to show flat Bat all the time and who know they survive his first 3 to 4 over spells.........Some times bhuvi feels he is doing well by just beating that bat only........... i saw his 7 to 8 over spell and he got 1 wicekt in that one day but he beat the batsman atleast 9 to 10 times.. guys who beat the bat too much normally do not get the WICKETS. earlier ishant was just stopping runs and batsman wanted to score against bhuvi now they will wanna play him out but still 1 or 2 wickets in every match STILL...he will get.

Our batting has never been weaker in years (at least in limited overs).

Jadeja will play the first game (at least) in the Champions Trophy.

"Of course with the new rules we'll be forced to play with five bowlers and Jadeja has done really well for us, giving us that balance that's really needed," Dhoni said. "We are hoping that he does well because it will be a great he'll be a great asset to the side with his stamina, with his bowling and a bit of batting down the order. I think he'll be someone who will really help us get the balance that's really needed in an ODI squad, and there are a few others. If it doesn't work there are a few others that can still do the job, and we have options in the side.
