ShebbySB Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Umesh bowled under 145 K mostly ysterday and he wasn't looking That bright......Not sure Why...... Did he bowl faster than 145 ....I missed a few of his overs. Ishant was under 142K and bowled well unless that last over.....I suppose he had a plan to bowl short to Pollard and he bowled one full as a shock delivery n got him..... India sorted Out Pollard , darren bravo and Gayle.... Planned their dismissals and the game was Won. Great News- Varun Aroon has posted that he is fit n have started bowling so I guess he may be considered for Africa.....that's exciting as India may play even 4 pacers in africa..... Gr8 news but hope he retains his fast bowling ability.

Some snippets TNN Jun 11, 2013, 01.34AM IST PANAJI: Remember Varun Aaron? The quickie from Jamshedpur with only five international caps showed a lot of promise to start with. But his success story ground to a halt when he picked up a lower back stress fracture just before In-dia's tour of Australia in December 2011. "The surgery that I had undergone, fixed the troubling L5 disc. I don't think clocking 140km/h or above will be a trouble at all. I am not mulling over checking my speed as of now," Varun said. Varun, however, is not losing sleep over that. He is confident it is only a mat-ter of time before he strikes form in domestic cricket and makes his way back. "I don't really bother which bowler is doing what. I am confident I can break back into the national team once again. My lookout will be to get better as a bowler and not ponder too much over selection. I have started light training and will soon be taking up with the ball," he remarked. "Though my physio Ashish Kaushik and trainer Sudarshan have been working hard on me, it is unlikely that I will get back into action before August. County season will also get over by then. So, I will look forward to capitalizing on the domestic tournaments, starting off with Buchi Babu and then JP Atray followed by the Duleep Trophy," he added. Though India have done pretty well in the bowling department of late, one can't ignore the fact that most of our bowlers belong to the medium pace seam bowling pedigree. Varun's striking pace will definitely be considered as an X-Factor, provided he mixes it up with impeccable line, length and variations. Vengsarkar voices support Former India cricketer and chairman of selectors, Dilip Vengsarkar felt Va-run's return to mainstream cricket will not take much time once he regains his fitness. "Varun is out of action for more than a year. He has to feel fit and find his rhythm first. Once he gets that back, I'm sure the selectors will consider him. Start of the tough grind for Aaron. Lonmg battle ahead. Will need to bowl a lot of overs before making a comeback to the national side.
