Ajmal is not a big turner of the ball. He does not need much from pitch. He can do with accuracy and variation. I did not see any ball turning big like it was happening at Cardiff where even Dumini was turning it big. It was far different pitch than Cardff. Cardiff lacked that kind of zip and bounce. Indians wont survive on this pitch against Pak pacers.

Dont u remember that India-Pakistan T20 match in Banglore?Swing for Indian trundlers and Pace n bounce for Pak bowlers.Yesterday all spinners bowled well,The Oval is better pitch for spinners.

In an IPL match Mohit Sharma was getting more bounce than Ishant Sharma.

Its quite stupid of him to take more wickets but not stop runs himself :haha: Its not like lambu is heaps more the number of wickets as PK. Nor does he produce more wicket taking deliveries in ODIs. The difference in wickets per 10 overs is marginal (0.39), which means Lambu gets 2 more wickets than PK for 5 games. The so called wicket taking is a bloody myth for this idiot. When conditions were helping bowlers in two of the home games against Pakistan, he did jack with the new ball. And he happens to be rubbish in tests, so he doesn't have much of a wicket taking ability for so many yrs. So where does his bag of wickets come from, the awesome death bowling skills ?

But he is still taking more wickets. Isn't it? I am not saying he is a great bowler, neither defending. I have already mentioned all the problems he is facing but but saying he is worst ODI bowler is unfair when we have others who have worse records.

He bowled well in yesterday's game along with Jadeja and Ashwin even though he gave runs in his last over but he has never been a good death bowler. His line and length were very good and hardly gave anything to hit. The middle overs were the period where West Indies fell apart. So credit to him. :nice:

This.....All it takes is one bad over for haters to crawl out...He did well ...had one bad over and he was definetely better than Yadav yesterday whom I rate highly btw...had an average 1st game but he has been our go to bowler over the last 2 series...don't know what people are complaining about

The best I have seen Ishant bowl recently is during IPL THE YEAR BEFORE, , HE LOOKED LETHAL AND BOWLED FASTER AND BETTER THEN STEYN , BUT HE HAS CHANGED HIS ACTION SINCE, he is most effective when he bowls naturally with the ball coming in and getting bounce and the odd variation with the ball keeping its path straight, at his best he bowls in the channel between 138 to 146 k and gets bounce of length, he is far from his best and looks like that might not come.
