Imagine there are no green tracks.... It isn't hard to do..... Imagine Mooli/Mridhul could bash everyone..... So Vilander couldn't accuse you..... Imagine all the Mooli/Mridhul lovers..... Living life this way..... Yoo-huhuhuhu You can say Vilander is a dreamer..... But he is not the only one...... Imagine the rest by yourself......:giggle:

Vijay needs time and confidence. He has this problem of adapting to changing formats and this shows in his game. He had adopted a very good technique and mindset for the test series and is now struggling to come out of it. He should only be played in one format for India.

India enjoyed a golden period for a while with Sehwag and Gambhir. Before that - the last good opening pair was Gavaskar and Srikkanth. Years and years rolled by after that. It may be a loooong while before the next quality opening pair is established.

what about ramesh and chopra? Anyhow we're getting there. We're experimenting for a good opening pair.

What abt Sachin-Saurav and Sachin-Sehwag ??, Sachin-Sehwag opening combination was anyday better than Sehwag and Gambhir.

can you change your avatar. I keep wanting to bounce up and down. Lets be frank in this discussion. After all the chances Vijay is average 38.5 with the bat in 16 tests over a 5 year period since he was first selected. Bulk of his runs are against Australia in India. We have 3 tests v SA coming up followed by 2 tests v NZ followed by 5 tests v England. Now to be frank if he can maintain an average close to 40 i think he has done well and India have found a decent if not great opener. But lets wait on this. in 7 tests played away from home he averages 19 with the bat. He is currently 29 and will be nearly touching 30 when the SA series starts.

now you just sounding butt hurt... KT and I are actually agreeing..about not being wrist slitters...and give value to Indian test wins in India against Aus.
