ODI's. Similar to Kumble for Tests. Yet, that doesn't mean they are in the top category. Kumble is definitely over rated among Indians but really he is nowhere near the class of Murali, Warne.
get admitted to Nimhans...:finger:

^^^^ Well, Murali vs Kumble has only one winner, that is Murali. >95% of people will say likewise as well.
>95% of the people may prefer Maruti over Mercedes - it doesn't mean Maruti is better than Mercedes.

LOL! ODIs? No one uses ODIs as a major barometer to assess the stature of a player. Otherwise Bevan would have been a legend. What next? Gayle is a legend because of T20s? :hysterical:

Warne was a different class altogether. If i am not wrong Murali has 200 odd wickets in one stadium in Lanka. Anyways Kumble is third best spinner of all time.Inverwhatever or Reilley or underwood or Laker dont even half the number of wickets Kumble has.How do can you compare them? You can different barometer. Tests is not the only way to access the players. You cannot be ignorant about that. It's flexible manner to judge players. Gayle may definitely become a legend if he continues T20s form as he is the best there. And the issue here is not how is the player but what's the difference between good vs best? And where does Kumble stand. Kumble is a good great player but not in that best category.

You can have any barometer that makes you sleep well, but it's a fact that no one worth his salt would classify Dean Jones or Bevan as legends. And yeah, in your alternate reality Gayle will become a legend as well. All this shows is that your definition of legends and all time greats is far removed from reality and your OP is not to be taken seriously.

You are putting thing out of context. No one said Bevan is a legend but he is good player like Kumble. The question is how much Kumble stands with his record in the best category. I said he cannot be seen as the best rather a good player. Then, some stats were brought in, like Inzi, accumulative stats does not mean you are the best. Don't try to divert the topic.

For the past, it is true. In the modern era, legends will be judged across formats differently. A legend in Test cricket will no longer we a legend in ODI cricket.

Wow that's a reliable source
Just like how Inazaman batting average is about 19.12 in Pakistani ground conditions with 1 Pakistani Umpire while the other is half pakistani and half afghani.. while his batting average falls to 8.95 when 1 of the 2 umpires has 6 fingers in 1 hand and for the other umpire the lower right shoulder is slighly askew by 12 degrees... it's fun when you pull stats out of your (a)(s)(s). :giggle:
What about 3 Indian umpires?? What about 3 Indian umpires and Indian match official?? Feed me info bro.....:hitler:....
These stats are accurate

Who do you consider as world class spinners since Kumble isn't one? And anyhow who has claimed that Kumble is the best?

Kumble didn't need drs he had Indian umpires for a significant number of matches especially at home.
Indian umpires, like all non-Paki umpires, were just fine. Its the Paki umpires that were crooks and we see the evidence in the fact that *EVERY SINGLE* Paki has far better record in Pakistan than outside Pakistan. The # of lbws Kapil or Kumble got as a % of wicket taken does not change significantly from home to overseas. For every single Paki bowler, they get almost double the % of lbws at home than away- indicating crooked umpires. Same with Miandad- he was given out lbw like 30 times in his career- only 4 times at home and 26 times overseas. You dont see such disparity in any other nations resume in the days of home umpiring. Its the Pakis who cheated all the way through- from tampering with balls to having crooked umpires but then again, Pakistan has a long history of state sponsored dishonesty- be it in international relations, business or sports. A country of crooks, run by crooks for the crooks.

Once he took 7' date='8 wickets; taking a catch for any other bowler got banned :--D Im sure you heard this too from Pakistanis only :winky:[/quote'] Nothing wrong with that and if any Paki ever came close to taking all ten wickets, their bowling partners would do the same, especially when the game is not in jeopardy. If i were the bowler and the match result was not in doubt, i too would bowl a meter outside offstump to let my buddy have a shot at a once-in-a-lifetime 10-fer in an innings.

Explain why kumble averages 30+ with 2 neutral umpires and 21 with at least 1 indian umpire and 19 with 2 indian umpires for home matches????????????
