Also, does Yadav have a permanent spot in the ODI squad? Exactly how many ODIs has he played since making his debut in 2010? Have always said that till the time he establishes himself as a test bowler, he should be playing only selected ODIs. Long way to go for him to become a good ODI bowler.

He should not be in ODI XI.

Lord Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 in odis away from home that is kind of expected no ? not all the time though if opposition is off to a good start,then he can do all those things,but if we pick up 2-3 early wickets,he should go for wickets n keep it simple
Old guy Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 not all the time though if opposition is off to a good start,then he can do all those things,but if we pick up 2-3 early wickets,he should go for wickets n keep it simple you are making it look like he is another harbhajan singh but that is just not true he and jadeja have out bowled all those great mystery spinners in these conditions.. he does not attacks but clearly team strategy is working and we are getting teams out cheaply .. problem with bhajji was darting was his only option and he was in capable of picking wickers but ashwin even now picked wickets in every match .. he is different kind of bowler compared to jaddu as he is more lethal if there is little but of turn also his strategy in test is totally different now so im not worried about it ..

A 3 wickets haul after a long haul despite bowling mostly in powerplays and at the end. Hope he continues to bowl like that and be more attacking as VVS said above.

vvvslaxman Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Finally he decided to bowl an attacking line.. around middle and off. Also flighted. Paused only 2 or 3 times. He should consider himself as a specialist attacking, wicket taking bowler not a run containing bowler.
