I Still want Yuvraj Singh to be back in the side

Though the young team is doing really well, I think Yuvi still got 5 years of International cricket left in him. I want him back in the side from the next tour. But yes, no more of Sehwag and Gambhir (if he dosent do something exceptional in Domestic circuit).

Let me put this way. Yuvraj's return from here one will only be based on how bad his replacements are going to perform. Only when they suck real bad and there is no other option they will go back to Yuvraj. Nothing against Yuvraj. His physical condition is going against him. Frankly it is unfair to judge him based on that. But that is the way it is going to be.

He can replace Pathan in the squad. Only issue I see there is if Yuvi in the squad, his seniority will push him to playing XI.

Let him regain his fitness fully. Probably needs to lose 15kg. I am sure that we can axe somebody like Raina for the playing side or for that matter any non performing member.

I think Yuvi has a role to play in the subcontinent where his bowling is a plus too' date='its not like Raina is taking the world by storm at the moment.[/quote'] Raina won't be dropped. He scored 4 fifties in his last 5 ODIs. :winky: . Also he is one guy who is capable of taking the attack apart from the get go. He doesn't need time to settle down. Plus a great fielder with lot of energy. Yuvraj can come in.. not at the cost of Raina who has made 50,55,89*,83,9 in the last 5 innings. Been consistent for a while.

No body is gone for good. This is what works.. keep a revolving door.. Let everyone know their place is on probationary terms pretty much all the time.. and that the more success they have with their performance.. the longer the rope will be when they screw up. Let them all sit on the benches in the dugout and carry towels/drinks etc. If they do well in domestic circuit, they should come in as replacement to whoever is not performing.. I repeat.. ONLY bring them in when someone is not performing for a while. Absolutely do not remove players like Dhawan, DK and others just because they don't perform in a game or two. The only guy who I see needing replacing is Ishant Sharma. Yadav should also be on a watch from now on. Left arm off spinners are extremely effective against right hand batsmen.. so I see a lot of potential for Yuvraj in the team as long as he is physically able to. Gambhir and Sehwag have a lot of working to do to earn their way back.

Yuvraj will be back in ODI'S , test's I think he has failed but you never know, Sehwag and Gambhir will be back , once they get back to scoring runs and are both world class, I would love to see these two back in form especially in test's.Sachin retiring in test's maybe this year and Sehwag can come in lower down , also Gambhir in form is better then Murali.

Yuvraj is really unfit and will be a baggage on the field especially in the 50 over format. Even his batting looked lost in the IPL. He will need to loose weight and have an excellent domestic season. Adding an unfit player based on historical preferences will be a step back for this young Indian ODI team.

Yuvraj poor fitness is a myth. Yes he is not the same flamboyant point fielder he used to be in early 2000's, but never a baggage in the field. He fielded superbly in the Pakistan series.

:agree: But I think Gambhir can fit in :nervous:
