SLICKR392 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 in IPL only He will do better than them here as well. I'm not really certain about Irfan as he could be handy but VK is far better than Ishant in current form.
rkt.india Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Really he has lost even his work ethic. His place is secure no matter how bad he performs. He has lost his action' date='there is no fluidty or strength in his action, just floats the ball with a horrible seam position even kohli has a better seam position.[/quote'] Yes. It is so disappointing seeing him bowl like this.

cowboysfan Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 why not try vinay kumar? atleast he can bowl yorkers in the death.

rkt.india Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 why not try vinay kumar? atleast he can bowl yorkers in the death. When did you see him bowl yorkers at death. He is as poor but he will certainly will bowl with better control in early overs and can get a bit of seam too.
fineleg Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Vinay Kumar "yorkers" will be dispatched for 6 by players like ABDV, Shane Watson et.al. Ishant Sharma should not play cricket. Period. Maybe try Shami Ahmed, Pankaj Singh, Rahul Shukla, Mohit Sharma
CG Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 When did you see him bowl yorkers at death. He is as poor but he will certainly will bowl with better control in early overs and can get a bit of seam too. in ipl he was only indian bowler bowling yorkers outside off stump ,he bowled well to dhoni too.
saneindian Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 As poor as he hs been, he still is taking wickets and that is why he retains his spot. Since his comeback to the ODI side late last year vs Pak, he has 17 wickets@28 in 11 ODIs, ER of 5.07, thats awesome by our standards lol
Crookbond Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 The problem is the days when he's bad; he's not just bad - he's worse with even worse toppings.
Gunner Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Really he has lost even his work ethic. His place is secure no matter how bad he performs. He has lost his action' date='there is no fluidty or strength in his action, just floats the ball with a horrible seam position even kohli has a better seam position.[/quote'] It's beyond me why this joke of a bowler keeps getting selected in both Tests and ODIs inspite of consistent mediocre performances. He picked up 2 wickets today off very bad deliveries because of pure luck and he complains of being 'Unlucky'

Why don't we call him back as well?:cantstop:
nevada Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 and a rich test bowler who gives away runs like a millionaire sprinkling loose change into the air.
ganeshran Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 As poor as he hs been, he still is taking wickets and that is why he retains his spot. Since his comeback to the ODI side late last year vs Pak, he has 17 wickets@28 in 11 ODIs, ER of 5.07, thats awesome by our standards lol Even today he took wickets, but they came of shyte deliveries that a lot of batsmen would have dispatched to the boundary.`
saneindian Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Balaji was our highest wicket taker in WT20 IIRC. Why don't we call him back as well?:cantstop: He was picked for England T20s in late Decembet 2012 but got injured and was replaced by Vinay :--D
maniac Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Weird fan reasoning......Ishant bowls well and does not pick up wickets,he is ridiculed,he picks up wickets regularly those are of Shyte deliveries.
maniac Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Even today he took wickets' date=' but they came of shyte deliveries that a lot of batsmen would have dispatched to the boundary.`[/quote'] Economy rate isnt that bad either for someone who bowls at the death
saneindian Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Even today he took wickets' date=' but they came of shyte deliveries that a lot of batsmen would have dispatched to the boundary.`[/quote'] After all those wickets he's missed due to bad luck, he does deserve some luck. I too have been critical of him but looking at the bench not sure if we have anyone on the bench who will do better. Pathan would have been a choice but struggled badly in warm ups, Vinay , well not sure if he will be any good either. Better to stick with the guy who is at least taking wickets off shyte deliveries. Would have ideally loved to see Shami being in the ODI 11 , not to be.
King Tendulkar Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 In am dissapointed with him. Need to identify someone else after this touney.
